quite like this quote from that article: “It was like watching a nature documentary when you’re nail-bitingly optimistic about the result for the antelope, and then peer through your fingers to discover the cheetah has won.”

Seriously though is that normal or foreign student rates? Because that’s proper millionaire money.

I think its a bit less than that actually inc. digs though! Ive not researched it massively, just by what the kid I coach said and someone i did my L3 with…and a mates daughter!. In-State gets discounts, as well as aid grants available based on earnings for US students, afforded through scholarships, loans and savings! but yes UK we’d pay full whack, plus bed and board at extortionate campus rates. They do recon 400k + for a 4 year degree at a Div 1 school, that’s if you dont get murdered or end up in jail in the first year i guess also

Wow what a K1 Final! De Gennaro must be totally pumped; although they were rating him before he went off. Did they put something in the water halfway through!

Agonisingly close for the women’s 4- in the rowing today. I guess that balances out the gold that we nicked off the Dutch on the line in the 4x

Good efforts my the women’s 2x and men’s 4- to get bronze medals. I think those were good outcomes for them.

Helen Glover’s a great athlete and probably the only household name across the rowing squad now, but it got a bit annoying that they couldn’t refer to the W4- without also referring to her by name.

She wouldn’t be in the crew if she didn’t deserve the seat, but the reality is that she was the smallest and oldest member of the crew, so probably the weakest person in the boat :man_shrugging:
