Inseine...Para-Oly commentary with spoilers

Yes, definitely. I’m really looking forward to the races - but can’t believe there’s still a week to go.

Doesn’t matter if they all get sick after the relay. It’s if none of them can do the relay because they got sick in the individual race that will be the bigger worry.

i can’t say i am surprised…i wonder if mask use will increase???

There was lots of Covid around the Tour peloton so in an environment like the Olympic village it would spread like wildfire.

I’m sure the more serious teams will be introducing their own mask protocols

Compared to regular trisuits they are noticeably wider at the shoulders and go pretty much the whole way up to the armpits. Maybe worth a couple of watts on the bike, but that might be enough

Potter chose not to wear hers at Hamburg, although Waugh did. It obviously doesn’t help with shoe laces.

Ahhh, I see. So here’s Cagliari - and you can see the comparison around the shoulders/armpit. The article also shows Yee at the same race - wearing what looks to be the same.

I think the video is circulating of this and doesn’t sound very pleasant, kicking and hitting it, seems like a bit more than an error of judgement but appreciate people get frustrated but this can’t be the way out?

Charlotte Dujardin, Britain’s joint-most decorated female Olympian, has been provisionally suspended for six months by equestrian’s governing body the FEI.

The dressage star had already pulled out of Paris 2024 after a video emerged which she said showed her “making an error of judgement”.

There was a horsey woman on R4 this morning defending her - despite claiming not to have seen the footage :see_no_evil: - saying it was a suspicious bit of sabotage that a Dutch lawyer had dropped the 2-4yrs old video a few days before the Olympics open.

Quite likely but that doesn’t make it right?

Was it not the Netherlands that took that convicted rapist (apols if I misremembered the exact crime) that got kicked from the Aussie team?!

Correct.

Despite not having seen the footage, the level of contrition from CD makes it seem like she gave the horse a bit of a pasting  .
