Ironman Frankfurt 2023 and 2024

14h30 is an “average” IM for me. All being good I should be under 13h, a bad mechanical or bio mechanical and I’m 16h+

07:00-21:15 is 14h15 so a little concerned.

I’ve got a 25km bike route to Waldsee, 15km to Romerberg.

I’m thinking cycle in to register tomorrow, cycle over to T1, shuttle back to the centre then meet the fam. More cycling than I’d like, but probably won’t be allowed the bike on the shuttle.

Yeah but this is Germany - the tarmac is like velvet and everyone drafts, so you’ll take an hour off your usual bike time :roll_eyes::rofl:

Have you cycled around Hamburg Port? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Water is nice, a bit choppy.

Everything is paid for in cash here. Financial centre of Europe…hmm…

I cant believe <1:05 is the first group. I’ve done 1:06 so
Maybe I should get in the back of that pack tomorrow.

@joex

Pro tip for the morning.

There are portaloos as you head down towards the lake.

Ignore the massive queues for the ones right by the bike bags.
