Maybe going to watch some friends doing it depending on flight prices. Have done the full twice, bit of a draft fest the 1st 15 to 20 miles then it breaks up. Great event, you’ll love it.
Got the train to the Event which was cheap as chips and so easy.

Was on my hit list this year but without budgeting I will never know if I can afford it. Might get drunk and enter anyway though, if registration stays open long enough.

Good strategy that - just don’t sign up for a non refundable pay in 2 parts race like marathon des sables
