I just said how I should do IMUK next year to someone else when they messaged me saying my AG rolled to 15th. But of course you are correct
He got the final slot in M25. 3rd declined as well
Chris - incredible result. Glad you got a bit of juice from my crew 
My day went as expected, very very hard but got round. Had a plan and stuck to it.
1:20 swim. 37 first lap, 43 second.
8:37 bike 
negative splitted the laps. Rode as easy as possible with a big smile on my face. Stopped to speak to my wife & kids then also my sister & family. 1 loo stop.
5:45 run. Negative split which is a miracle.
15:58:xx finish time.
Nearly pulled the pin after 1.5 miles. Glad I didn’t.
Had friends and family all over the course which was a huge help.
The gap between the aid stations were FAR too big. I had to fill my bottles at a house on the Roman Road and also with my family.
Given I was out there all day I’m actually very pleased to have managed the (incredibly slow) pace pretty much perfectly.
Top support. A very, very tough course.

The guy who took my slot barely seemed bothered but Chriswim, the guy who took your slot was beside himself with joy -great to see.
I had a mate racing in 35-39 who was desperate to qualify. He finished in 11th and went home last night despite my urging him to stay. Rolled to 15th or something. Don’t know how I’m going to bring myself to tell him.
Plus all the ‘cheap’ accommodation is sold-out. I think at this point, I would just go with an operator like Hannes Tours.

Make that distracted
This level of roll down really amazes me. At Copenhagen last year, which is another month later in the year so even more of a logistical challenge to organise the necessary trip, outside of one of the proper old AGs where no one took it (there were only a couple of people competing), there was one female AG that rolled quite a way but other than that nearly every single other one pretty much went immediately.
I was riding a LOT slower than you, as were most people!
Not all of the aid stations, just The gap between the top of Holcombe Hill and the next one was way too long factoring in you had to do Grane Road, Roman Road and the Green Arms Rd slog in between. Only 20 miles but 1800+ft made it really slow.
Can you pay by card now?
Accepting your slot used to mean you had to have the USD in actual greens the next morning…
