Wow, absolutely amazing effort. I whimped out due to long run last weekend, Cascais coming up, blah blah⌠what you did today took a massive mental effort as much as physical effort. Donât worry about your deferred IM you will be fine.

Expensive medal. Expensive postage from the US. Possibly worth it if itâs any different from the one I could buy for completing the distance in 7 days?

No its my only wine glass left and glad I didnt, I only managed a few sips with a bit of rice and beef. Now comes the long week of fatigue, even after that day only slept 6 hours!
@Amanda the medals are expensive and pre-order so wont arrive until December but they are available from their European store. I dont think theyre any different for 7, 3, or 17h events but its doesnt look like many are finishing so farâŚcould be the highest DNF for an IM event in history

Ah yes - âŹ89.21 for the medal / t-shirt / cap bundle, including postage. I could order it now, and I havenât finished the race. (I will, later.)
