So no mechanical etc? Maybe he’s hoping people are over biking in early stages as he said they would in interviews. As you say he may be planning a really strong run off back off sensible bike…

He was six minutes down out of the swim, and Lange and Frodo themselves are ten minutes back. So looking at it like that, he’s pacing the bike the same as the GOAT.
However, we know he’s not great even with a satnav, so suspect he’s checking out the macchiatos in Monaco…

Seems OK for me on TV, which would highlight any significant quality issues given the size. How are you watching? If on my phone, I often find live streams defaults to low quality in the app - go into settings and make sure it’s set to best quality, not auto or low

He did. I just never trust his run.
I can’t help but think that with his poor form all year, he knows he’s not there in the run, so he’s building a buffer for or on the the bike.
Ditlev in pole position at the mo I reckon. Will have to see how far back Lange comes into t2

Joe is in another time zone from Laidlow; what is he on the favourites, about 11? Was he 6 down on the swim? That’s just not going to do him any favours. Sorry I’ve missed most of what’s been going on earlier.
Does anyone know if they’re all issued the same power meters and how they are gathering these stats?

I’d imagine Frodeno would like a couple of mins on Lange off the bike; force him to chase.
Ditlev will run well. Currie as well.
Not sure what Rudy’s run is like.
