Chris is 623
Year after year such a shite broadcast.
So Skipper is miles off? Where is he Andorra?
Hadnāt realised Jan had actually started the run.
Run course is void of support isnāt it
Iām currently eating my words about Laidlow. Heās still trucking isnāt he. Donāt think heās actually won an iM before? Would be quite the performance to bring this home
Just tuned in. How long are the laps? Itās āniceā (boom boom) to have something to look at in the background.
4 laps so 10k ish.
Ah cheers. There does seem a lack of crowd but if it was the choice of standing on the road in that heat, or watching in a bar, I know where Iād be!
Lange is on his wayā¦,
Whatās the gap?
Looks like Jeff and Chris still going well.
2nd Ditlev +5
4th Lange +9
Didnāt he win Lakesman three years ago with a sub8?
Considering his 2nd place last year, he canāt ever again be easily discounted.
The problem in judging how heās doing is 5hat he always looks great and on for the win, until the wheels fall off, which theyāve gone back to doing this year since Kona.
Getting very hard to not see him at least on the podium though now, half way in and still looking strong.
He may well have done and that does sound familiar - I meant a pro Ironman race? Not sure if he has
Joe will have to run out of his skin to get in the top 15. Not the day he will have anticipated.
Wasnāt it his first ever full distance race ?!
And he won it at 19-20 years old
IIRC it wasnāt sub 8
8:31?
Love to know what has gone wrong today. Maybe just had no bike legs?
Being 6 mins down in the swim and no one to bike with (like in Kona) would have been a mental blow!
Heād normally be starting the bike with Sanders, Kienle, Wurf et al.
They keep forgetting the first all German podium in 1997 (Hellriegel, Zack, Muller). Welch is crap mind.
Being gapped on the swim should have been less of an issue on this course as bike packs are less of a thing. But Joe just seemed to have no gas on the bike either.
