Anyone going to predict the top 3 this weekend?
LCB and Kat must be in with a good chance, a strong biker might get enough of a lead, particularly if they can descend.

Do you mean people not being arseholes to each other? Or just giving bland interviews?
I think there’s a decent crop of ladies at the mo that seem to be able to compete at the highest level but still show compassion and respect for each other. Maybe in getting soft in me old age, but I quite like it.
I’m looking fwd to it. Unfortunately, as it’s during the day it’s actually harder for me to watch than Kona! As we’ll be out and about doing stuff.
Not sure on who will win. Haven’t quite been tracking the latest form guides.

My prediction for Sunday: Top 3 will be Kat, LCB and Anne Haug - no idea what order
LCB will be 1st out of the water, I think that Kat will try to chase her down on the bike, Haug will bide her time and try to catch both on the run. I love the way that all 3 race
Laura Philipp could well be in contention if she doesn’t lose to much on the swim, and my dark horse is Fenella

Current water temp in Nice is 23.3 (the med is exceptionally warm this year). The forecast for the next 3 days is warm weather (25/26 degrees max). Looks highly likely to be non wetsuit swim. LCB will be really hoping that it is non wetsuit

Same, although I reckon Haug, LCB, Kat. I think the bike will suit Ruth Astle as she is a strong cyclist but tiny and I bet she will descend well. Decent top 10 for her.

Wondering how strong the A\G field is and whether the temperature will miraculously be in that small range for wetsuit legal A\G but banned for the pro’s.

Only, not sure if LCB will dnf if Haug will be close enough to chase down. Kat could be anywhere 1-5 or dnf. But looking at the limited training posted looks very good for top 1-2-3.
My bet is that it will be wetsuits for AG, swim skins for Pros

I can see Lucy leading the swim but I don’t think she’ll win the race. I’m just not getting the feeling that she’s firing on all cylinders. I watched her latest YouTube and it was mostly gym training at La Santa with not much bike or run footage (not that this tells us much). I’d love her to win but it sounds like she’s all in for Kona next year and this year it’s hard to have an A race this year as there are lots of races to chase.
As an aside, in the YouTube, Reece was tracking her swim speed with a radar gun! I’m assuming it’s a wind up as there’s a fecking big clock on the wall there and they’re accurate to +/- 1mph - which for swimming doesn’t seem accurate enough.
