Very pleased to see Cam run so well. That looked like a bloody tough day for all.

Respect to Laidlow, a 3h12 marathon despite lurching like Cookie Monster from the Muppets by mile 10.

Patrick Lange looked amazing

Crazy that unless you go sub 8 as a pro now, you’re nowhere.

I remember an IMTalk podcast back in the day, maybe 2010, where they interviewed Mark Allen and asked him if anyone would ever break 8 hours. IIRC he hesitated and said something like “probably, but it will take a combination of a great athlete and perfect conditions”

46kmh on the bike :flushed:

Pupil distance?

Just read through all the comments (woke up to 238 posts in this thread), bloody brilliant entertaining read  Couldn’t watch tonight, but I didn’t miss a thing with all your updates :+1:

Getting a new coach, has certainly paid off for Lange.

He was an emotional man going over the line.

(Giving that US Olympic rower on the podium a run for their money)

I can imagine :sob::laughing: But good on him, sounds like he executed a perfect race.

Distance between pupils is a great tell for something.

It’s a TT1.0 kinda thing :see_no_evil:

@Jorgan mentioned it earlier.

These phenomenal times are all down to equipment though, nothing else. WTC IM anti-doping policies are solid as a rock.

Yes, just like the Kenyan distance running programme, it’s just the mountains roads, genes and coaching

#sciencefact, if distance between pupils is half of length of face, guilty. Unless you are British as no Brit dopes ever. Proven in an extensive study

Happy for Lange, I wasn’t sure the new season format would work for him and though he always looks great on the run competition was so fierce on the bike I figured the gap would just be too big.

Ditlev, great resolve to keep going on the bike when he couldn’t catch Sam, then sort his shit out mid run to bring back 2nd.

And so on, respect the whole field.
