I do not believe there has ever been doping control at kona, the race won’t be clean. They give out drip’s at will, which are a DQ from the event, even if you get a TUE absolving a ban.

Whats the limiter though? We already have Alistair & Jan both out of the big race due to stress fractures. No doubt there are improvements to be had I just think it’s not as significant as some might expect.

Frodo could have won on debut but for a mechanical, so it wouldn’t just be “the science”, I think the whole sport has got more professional and everyone prepares better.
