Kona 25

Just had one too :+1:

We’re 13 hours ahead of Kona here I think. Will probably see the swim and first hour or so of bike before falling asleep- even worse than normal

To make matters worse wife’s booked some kayaking trip for this afternoon which sounds great but also likely to induce sleep later on

@Matthew_Spooner Good luck, tactics, form & mechanical. You’ve reached one of the pinnacles of endurance sport. Enjoy it.

Who WASN’T actually shouting at LIONel to win in 2017, as Lange was closing in? I can’t believe it was that long ago already.

My first was 2012. Leanda Cave and Pete Jacobs i think from memory.

We were in California on our honeymoon.

Looks like they’ve got a fancy website where we can watch the broadcast - with the different camera streams/leaderboard etc. Let’s hope it works!

C/mon Spoons, looking forward to his bike - he’ll be one of the later ones out of the swim but will be gobbling them up like Pac-man on the Queen K!

Go for it Spoons, enjoy it and in the tough moments remember everyone on here will be throwing motivational swearing and good vibes your way.

Crikey friend of mine in F30-34 has just messaged to say tested +ve for Covid overnight.

I wonder if we’ll lose some of the Pro field.

And the authorities won;t be happy if 5,000 visiting athletes kick off another wave.

Did she test because its a requirement to race, or because she’s just diligent? I’ve not done a LFT for months. Didn’t even enter my mind before Wales. I’d definitely not be doing one unless it was an obligation

She did it because she ‘felt rough’, I don;t think its a requirement or anything.
