On the track i trained myself to ride 110-120 and in a sprint 170 wasnt unusual. Did 168 on the rollers. On the road for tri i’d settle around 75 solo but groups on roadie id drop it a gear or 2 and hold 85-90. I tend to coach using variety of big gear / little gear work . Draft legal juniors i get 90 as a benchmark just so its easier to adapt to pace changes but for adults unless its abnormally low i dont “fix” it very often.
What did the white board on the bike say? Why didn’t they mention that in the commentary at all?!
Is Gustav just ragged, or is the wind picking up?
Guess so, but Wurf group not made any ground on Blum group.
Big gear would be 60-70 depending on who i get to do it. 50 is hurting my knees thinking about it
Seems to have been pretty ragged the whole time.
this poses more questions, but is a good answer…will reply later…
@SidSnot has stabilised #28 at 67km after losing some places in the previous splits
‘Vinfast Ironman World Championship brought to you by Vinfast’
i’d rather watch a rerun for their races…
that said, a lead of 10 mins was never safe…now a 1 minute lead ‘seems’ to be unassailable…
Woah, is that accurate?! 2mins! That’s a really strong ride by Sam if so.
But on another note, if they have the ability to produce time splits outside of official timing points, why the fuck are they only popping one up now for the first time in 2 days!
He’s not particularly smooth on any given day, but he is effective on every given day.
Has Laidlow really gone 2min off the front or is this a maths error?

Why is there just a car on the course going the other way!
I would hope wurf can put some time into them soon, they seem to be sat round looking at each other.
Sam -2:37 mins now…go Sam! (142km)
Lol - he genuinely looks like he doesn’t have full control
more love for the colonel…
