I know his family run a tri coaching place over there I think?
He’s definitely a Brit now.

Had a second wind but my phone died.
What a run!
Top 10 all under 8, 3 of them had 5 min penalties. What a great race that was.
Good race. I am still going to be up for hours with work so might get to see @SidSnot finish
Wurf in 11th the first man over 8 hours
Lionel due in c20 minutes time:rofl:
8:17 got you 24th overall, assuming none of the great unwashed unpaid loonies beat it.
Less posts, but I’m really enjoying tracking Sid too. After that 5:05 bike he’s holding around 5:20 kms, nearly third way through run.
Sam chugging the beers down on the podium
All of them.
Yep - @SidSnot having a great day
Sam Laidlow was first out of the water, set a new bike course record, ran a 2:44 and didn’t win! Amazing.
Ooff, missed rhe exciting bit by the looks of it. Fell asleep about 10 miles into the run.
Just looked at the board… 4 Frenchman in the top 15. Now I bet there is absolutely nobody that called that!
Sid through 16.5 miles in 96th place
Of all the top guys, Joe was only one to thank me at aid station
@SidSnot had great swim and bike, not far to go now Stephen
Its fun working at aid station. Although only 5k into run, many people at the back were totally cooked, some were very confused, no idea how they will finish… And that was still 3 hours before cutoff
Several age groupers tailing off in the last third of the marathon.
Heat I guess.
Sid Mott should go sub 10.
Went out for Lunch, looks like aid started hurting as soon as I left at 12km. Grinding out this finish now
M30-34 21 people went sub 9. 34 in total under.
8:31 AG winner (40-44). 10 minutes clear of any AG! And 1 minute quicker than the
Thursdays HC winner won by 3 hours! Those times are meaningless to me, but my club has a champion wheelchair athlete who is stunned, puts it up there as one of the all time great performances.
