Just watching news about festivals having to cancel because insurers wont back in case of Covid cancellation- sorry to be negative… could this extend to sports events too?
Absolutely mental this weekend in city centre. Slightly freaked out by level of complacency

I’m still unsure atm, unless I can get an Airbnb, and dreading the cold water, it won’t warm up much by then.

It is set to improve and the water is shallow but I was getting hypothermia at Helvellyn combined with the bike!

Registration is from 5:30 to 9:00, wave 1 goes off at 7am. Think I’m going to have to set off at 4:00am

ETA; just seen the bike course. We will be ABSOLUTELY CRYING if it’s windy.
That road with the dunes is truly horrific 
No spectators allowed under COVID regs anyway so you have a good excuse to leave her at home anyway…

Seen it.
But the bike and run course go past McD’s on Ocean Plaza and under the bridge, which isn’t on the race site.
And it’s where we will be parking, as you get four hours free.
So she won’t be on the race site spectating.
She’ll just be walking the dog around Southport seafront for 59 minutes
