Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

Good call @mw22 that’ll be another couple of pairs for the garage :+1:

Ive only dared buy 1 pair… never had Nikes and I really struggle in different trainers with a recurring achilles issue.
But these have a decent drop -so fingers crossed. Then I can buy the rest of the range

Thanks, another pair of peg 37’s to store.

Unfortunately doesn’t include the trail 2’s, I’ve battered mine. Really rate them though.

Got myself a pair of Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit as I have been wanting to try a pair out but they have been way too much money at £140 but got them for £68.58 with the code as they are in the sale aswell :grinning:

£51.43 for a pair of good trainers :scream:
That’s mental
£96 for a pair of road and trail shoes delivered is crazy talk

@jeffb - Terra Kigers have to be worth a punt for £44?

Ta, might have a look soon if they’ve got 10’s

Wasnt going to buy some, but for £51, in the end I couldnt resist. Interested to see how they compare to the 36, which I tend to feel are a bit “flat”

I vaguely recall that the 37’s felt alright on my test run. I don’t mind the 36’s but haven’t ran that much in them and I’m used to doing most mileage in standard shoes like Brooks Adrenaline, only use faster shoes for races or the occasional speed session.

I’ve had two pairs of the 36. Whilst i originally thougt they were flat as well, they grew on me pretty quickly. By the time the 2nd pair came around, i was more than happy wearing them. So i’m hoping they haven’t messed with the 37s too much.

Also gone for the Obisidian mist ones. Got Mrs GB some trainers for £30 as well. Win!

Stopped there and closed the site before i started looking at the other racier shoes and getting carried away!

When I say “flat”, I think I mean a hard ride. Maybe I’m just very used to shoes with more “bounce” now. Last year the zoom fly fly knit was my go to training shoe, and that had react foam in the midsole. Just read up, and the 37 was improved to use react foam compared to the 36. So I should prefer it.

Funny how I now prefer some bounce. I remember trying the Adidas boost series before I converted to the newer Nike’s, and I absolutely hated them. But they felt more spongy than bouncy, if you know what I mean.

ETA - from a review site…

The softer riding Pegasus 37 is more suited to longer, slower runs. The React foam and thick air bag are great at providing deep cushioning which doesn’t bottom out. The firmer Pegasus 36 is more suited to short, tempo runs.

Sounds perfect for me. I bought the original pegs as a cheaper easy running shoe, and the harder ride does make them less appealing for that kind of running. I only have 400k on the 36s, so I’ll probably just split time with them and the 37s for my easier stuff. And I now have the baby alphas for more interval/tempo training stuff

I bought a pair of those in the run up to Helvellyn. Used them for every trial type run I get up to. Nothing to compare to but really like them

Nice one guys, just got some Peg 37s for £51 to be used in rotation with my Rincon 2s.

Now, who wants to buy a pair of Hoka Arahi 3s, barely used, going cheap.

Mine turned up whilst I was out in the bike. Thankfully someone in the block took them in for me. Haven’t opened them yet, but good to hear the colourway looks good!

Posted a pic with my run earlier.

Blue, grey with pink!
