Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

I don’t think they’re limiting it but it doesn’t like two pairs in one transaction. Feeling flush? :money_mouth_face:

I threw a load of shoes into a basket to see what was included, and if I had Next and Alphas in the basket at the same time the code didn’t work, but only a Next (not Next2) or only an Alpha and it worked. Strange.

Would have been tempted by 30% off some Next2, but not sure I can be bothered getting some super shoes with no run races in my plans at the moment. And it looks like the ZF3 have been discontinued, currently my favourite trainer. Could mean there is a ZF4 imminent, or they are migrating to the Tempos. Will have to keep an eye on other sites for ZF3 bargains.

I was…then remembered I’m going into Manchester for some new casual clothes at the weekend :see_no_evil::tired_face::sob:
(Oh, and I’m banned from buying anymore trainers or cycling clothing - apparently a whole wardrobe of ”exercise” clothing is too much, and “nobody” needs 11 pairs of running shoes :man_shrugging:t4:)

Is that from the lady with a million pairs of posh high heels and handbags!? Surely you’ve got that counter argument!

Yes, but I’ve also got about 15 pairs of smarter boots and shoes, then 15 trainers for casual.

I was going to reply to @Poet but the forum told me off, so I’m replying to GB

My Mrs doesn’t spend much on clothes or other stuff, we’ve recently watched the Minimalists and trying to be more mindful in our spending and reducing the amount of stuff we have the house. Sports stuff doesn’t count right???

I remember when I bought a 2nd pair of “smart” shoes so I could leave 1 pair at work for when I cycled and still have a 2nd pair at home in case I needed some.

haha snap.

I have my work ones in work and have been for years.

For the odd time i go straight to a meeting from home (in the old days before WFH) then i dig out my wedding shoes. Genuinely the shoes i wore to my wedding in 2012 (and every subsquent wedding). They’ve probably had less than 30 wears ever!

Yeah I’m the same - just work shoes at work. Although I work at a sports company so it’s fine to walk around in trainers as well.

What about Peg 38? I switched to those after ZF3 and they feel similar to me. Lots of cushion for long slow runs.

Did you try Peg 37 out of interest? They’ve been the first pair since i started (on 32s) that i’ve completely not liked. I now only use them for under an hour, slow runs as i’m too tight to just bin them off completely.

Do you know if the 38 is more of the same, back to 36 style or something new again? It’s rocked my confidence in a line of shoes i’ve been running in for years now which is a pain, because finding a new daily trainer can be an expensive business

Trying to avoid some Alphas.

I mean I’ve got 4% and unworn brs next%

I don’t need them surely :upside_down_face:

For <£200 you do!
The grip is way better than Next% and 4%.

Remember the Outlaw course has a lot of off-road, where you’ll want that grip.

Don’t give away any time to @stenard on the run!

And my ‘casual’ trainers are just ones I don’t run in anymore.

Actually 37 was my first pair of Pegasus so I can’t help. I’ve noticed that 38’s are about 35g lighter.

I get lost with all the variations of Nike shoes. I see there are some Nike Air Zoom Winflo’s as well.

Yep - same here :+1:

Anyone know, what the Alphas are like on grass vs original 4%?

Not this year. They’ve changed the run course.

It goes around the water rapids section!

Yup.
Ex trail shoes are my outdoor walkers. Original pegs from years ago are my casuals. But i spend most time in flip flops anyway.

Yeah it’s getting a bit crazy at the mo!

As @gingerbongo says, are the Peg38 more like the ZF3 or Peg37? There is also the Invincible as a cushioned everyday shoe, but I want a shoe for faster running, tempo runs, the odd faster 5K without being a £250 racing shoe.

That’s a MINOR diversion.
3 loops around the lake :rofl::rofl:
:skull::skull_and_crossbones::coffin:

That is GRIM!
So deffo get the Alpha’s, as they are quicker.
