DAMN IT!!!

Appears Nike’s are still top dog for most, with Asics closing the gap. Seems to mirror what athletes have said in practice.

Any Puma fans out there?

Not sure of the limitations but there’s 40% off on Sunday using EXCLUSIVE40, please don’t mention my name.

If they’ve got your size, it would be rude not to. I’m assuming most of you have a club code for 10% off on top

Appear to be womens sizing and probably narrower, to boot

The women’s version is listed separately but yes, all small sizes left.

An update on the ASIC Metaracer v Nike Next % run sets. I repeated an identical work out which is essentially 3 x 1 mile with 2 mins recovery. I made sure that the day before was an easier bike set and the run sets were space out by a couple of days.
According to Garmin the sets completed with the ASICS were 5s per km faster than the sets with the Nike Next% 3:36 v 3:41. The next% are plusher and bouncier than the ASICS so longer runs in the Nike are a no brainer but for the short sharp stuff especially forefoot runners the ‘flick’ was more effective and perhaps it’s because there is less cushioning?
I’d love to test the Metaspeed that the elites seem to get hold of but unless you have tiny feet there are no shoes available.

They’ve just announced an end of season sale on the Nike app, picked up a pair of Vaporfly Next% for £135 to give them a go. There’s some Alphafly Tempos and Peg38s with money off too

Nice just got a pair of NEXT%, funky colour scheme!

The new Next Nature are a snip at £295 :scissors::rofl::money_with_wings:

Eh?
Where’s this???

Members only sale on the app (maybe they’ve blocked you to stop you abusing the system  ?!) They’re the ‘interesting’ Gyakusou colorscheme, I’m just glad I don’t look at my own feet while running

Ah yes!
They’re listed in “lifestyle” and not “running” for some reason

Are these the same as the ‘normal’ as apart from the colour they look a bit different?

No idea to be honest, just figured at that price it was worth a go.

Typing that makes me realise how much my perception has shifted; I never used to pay more than £80 for a pair of runners, now I think £135 is a bargain too good to be missed

Think they normally have a full carbon plate.

Gonna pull the trigger on a pair and see what they are like and can always return anyway :grinning:

According to the internet reviews they are standard Next% with different upper.

e.g.

As confirmed previously, these Gyakusou editions start with the Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% and then modify the upper with some custom options. These changes namely are different panel arrangements and alternate lacing configurations.

So seem like a good deal… :grinning:, as you say…can always send them back.

Anyone trump me on a longer model name - characters/words your pick!

  • Nike Gyakusou ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%
  • Air Jordan XXXVI SE Luka ‘Global Game’

Trigger pulled :grinning:

Around 1400km on my second pair of Vaporfly 4%, they are looking a bit tired and soles begining to fall appart, I think that I should get another 2-300km out of them
