Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

Also, if you’re looking for an autumn/winter/wet weather shoe the Trail 3 were good for me through winter for my regular club runs.

£43 is a good price for what they are, small and big only I think.

I’d say all Nike Trail shoes are garbage.
The rubber just isn’t grippy at all.
Slip like a MoFo on wet rocks.

I’ve had three pairs (Juniper, Terra Kiger, Peg Trail 3) that have all been relegated to dog walking.
I’m glad I didn’t pay over £55 for any pair.

The Shield / GoreTex versions of the normal road shoes are much much better for winter weather and light off road duties.

I’ve had two pairs of Peg Shields and will buy another …:watermelon::watermelon::watermelon:

That’s why I’m recommending trail 3 as a road shoe, for winter.

I thought about it but I was out on a run and missed out. Tempted to sell my white version of the A3 as they are still box fresh

The pod popped in my 2021 AlphaFly this morning :sob::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

They’re now lopsided and unusable, but the sole is almost pristine though.

I’ve “only” done 375km in them, some shoes I’m on 800km and the sole is also A-OK :woman_shrugging:t4:

Seeing as I’ve not used them for a year-ish (when they would’ve been in the warranty period and returnable) I’m pretty pissed off :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::triumph:

Ha ha thats nothing! I popped the pod in two pairs of Tempos. One lot at under 250km the other at less than 100 (Sport Direct refunded me). I wouldn’t touch any Nike shoe with those Zoom pods now cos once they go the shoe is completely useless. I’m really liking the Adidas Adios Pro 3s as my replacements.

I’d message Nike as if the sole shoes little use you way get somewhere, but then you are on the black list…

If you bought directly from Nike it’s definitely worth getting in touch with them. I had 270km on mine when they popped and got a full refund after about two years

I tried that :sob:

The reply is from Nike. “Normal wear and tear” :sob:
Their warranty is two years. And I’m a year over it.

i ran a 1:46 half in the heat with no training in a brand new pair of Next%s…am quite pleased with that…

The sub 3 crowd told me their meta speed sky’s come with a 6 month no quibble returns clause

Just spotted a Nike Strava challenge that will earn you a 20% off code when spending over £100 - just have to complete two 20 minute activities.

I ordered some Vap3s for £180 :white_check_mark:

Well … Nike accepted my Peg40 return at £90 and I sold my broken Alphas for £65 :face_with_peeking_eye:

So these were nearly free :+1:t3:

I ordered the Blueprint version of the Alphas (the £285 pair)

Made my feet ache like heck. All of the metatarsals felt awful - like a fracture.

So they went back.

More annoyance.

That new colourway is a bit tasty :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

But £250 for the same pair of shoes I currently own
