Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

Quick question to save me looking back. For the Next% have people been going up about half a size compared to Fly’s?

I’ve got a 25% birthday code and they’ve got 10’s in stock :astonished:

For the Next% I am 8.5 and in the flyknits 4% I was a size 9

Down half a size then. My joy might be short livid as it doesn’t seem to be applying the discount :rage:

Nike secret police probably detected a Cyber link between you & Poet.

I’m an 8 in 4%, Next% and ZF FK. And Peg 36. The only Nike I’ve had to size up for is the ZF SP. That was well reported to be necessary.

I am 11.5 in both :ok_hand:t4:

I’ve had 10.5, 11 and 11.5 in Next%

First pair, following the half size down advice was wrong.
11s I could feel “the thing” In the toe box.
And like Goldilocks, 11.5 were just right.

I’ve an 11 and 11.5 in the 4%.
Whilst the 11s are fine up to 80 minutes, I wouldn’t want to do any more than that in them

I wear 13.5 Hoka and 13.5 new balance. Inov-8 are size 13. Vaporfly are 13 and I wear the thinnest socks I can find😂

I’ve also been told I don’t have wide feet so not sure if that means I have narrow feet or mine are normal and most people have wider feet than they realise

Nike have got a 30% discount code in the app today, not sure if everyone has it?

Doesn’t apply to Next% though

Looks like other trainers might be included, or kit.

Did someone mention some trail shoes they recommended? I could do with some.

LOVE THEM!

The V6 are a bit fugly compared to the 5’s but it’s offering the 30% so might have a punt.

Maybe I should check the loft for trail shoes first though

The V6 are hideous :nauseated_face::speak_no_evil:
The still have some of the V5s

The Terra Kiger new version look decent

Only got 5’s for people with pixie feet.

I would check eBay too Jeff.

They’re now in the 30% off sale…
I actually quite like the white and baby blue ones too. Hmmm.

Is the Turbo a nicer/faster, different feel to the standard pegasus Dave? I think it was @Poet who said he didnt like them?

I’ve had a pair of turbo 2s since Christmas, they are very firm and certainly don’t feel anything like the 4%s. I prefer the ZFs for general running and they are generally cheaper, still got the £50 pair (from earlier in this thread) in semi retirement.

The sole of the T2s has lasted well (1200km) but the upper has pulled away from the sole along the side and also managed to split the tail bit at the back when pulling them off. Not had that happen on any trainers before so can’t say I’m impressed by the longevity.

Ordered some standard peg 36s for replacement/comparison.

Thanks. Might not bother then. I only really need some more general mileage shoes really, but whilst on offer did wonder if these would be good for tempo type stuff in the future

Yeah I was hoping for an almost 4% type shoe with better longevity since it had the plate, zoom X foam…but didn’t match my expectations.

I think I saw Tim Grose (power of 10) doing a more objective comparison on youtube which might be worth a look.

Thanks. Will take a look. He does loads of detailed testing on the stryd facebook group, so I can imagine whatever his views are will be fairly well supported by evidence.
