Oh No!

Been lurking for a few years …just dabbling in local events…..my last long course event was in 2021. Working towards a complete withdrawal from triathlon and just riding and running a bit…….

This evening whilst walking Puplington with my daughter she said ‘Dad I would like you to do another Ironman I love coming to watch and being part of the support’ we walk a bit further and she adds ‘Lanzarote is special it is so good’ (We have been three times)…….

So do I stay strong and continue into retirement or crumple like a cheap suit and get my entry in?

Get on it, I am also in the comeback trail, and this time it’s not just an excuse for a new bike.

Daughters have their Dad’s wrapped around their little finger

How better to prove yourself as an ongoing utter legend to her than by smashing out another IM

This sounds like a dream…or hallucination. Have you been on the sauce recently? I’m thinking bootleg booze here.

Kudos for having a supportive family! You’re in, you just haven’t realised it yet.

Tempting Dad to sign up for IM Lanza?

Either supportive, or they want their inheritance…

I like this way of putting it. I’m in a similar position but Lanza would probably be the one if I decided to learn how to swim again. However i shall not be joining you in ‘26 or anytime soon. Good luck and please keep us up to date with your training.
