I’m not sure if they always have a sale on, but Yonda have discounts at the moment.
I’m tempted to replace my Zone3 because I’m just not getting on with the ridiculous lycra panel on the forearms. I’m happy to sacrifice flexibility - who needs flexibilty/feel on their forearm - for a bit of warmth in British waters.
Many years ago I was given some by a Zone3 rep, back in the day when you could get free shit just for having a blog… those were the days.
Anyhow, they’re probably in a drawer somewhere, I think I have a pair that are medium and a pair that are large; if they’d be of interest to you, message me your address and I’d be happy to send one or both pairs over. Depending on the condition they’re in! I didn’t use them much, so they should be fine.
I’d happily have paid for the Ghost but it has those lycra forearm panels as well…although the big boss man owner had never heard of anyone getting cold .
Did a small open water swim today. Sea was close to glassy and lovely and sunny. Took the 9yo daughter out to the 2nd buoy and back, about 400m or so and she did great. Proper little water baby that one!
Then I head out again to the 3rd buoy and back to take me up to around the 1km mark. If it’s calm despite the rain tomorrow, I might head out again.
Daughter also did 30 lengths of the 17m health club pool last night and did the same again this arvo. Like a mini training camp! She was doing full medley swimming up and down, putting the adults to shame!
I do it every time. I avoid swimming for months and then I get back in and realise it really is my favourite sport. I do genuinely love it. So I’ve come home and booked my swims for the next 2 months.
Took me half an hour to do 1200m which is pretty dire and I’m quite tired. But you only get better if you actually do it.
