Well this answers it. The french think the ticket prices are hideous too. Obviously a french video but basically a sketch of remortgaging and selling an organ or even a child to be able to buy a ticket.

I donât recall the tickets being that cheap at the time. There was a lot of controversy because some people applied for loads of stuff and got nothing and others got everything they applied for. People just wanted to be a part of it and applied for obscure stuff as a banker just in case they didnât get the stuff that they really wanted.
We got tickets to swimming finals and rowing heats through the ballot and then got tickets to BMX heats and the womenâs MTB via British Cycling. It was definitely an experience to be in the Olympic Park during the games.
I was a Gamesmaker too, so I was manning crossing points for the triathlon bike course and the cycling road races and TTs.

I applied for loads of stuff, got nothing, but sat at 7:45pm every night during games hitting refresh trying to get stuff and got stadium and horses jumping things at Greenwich (pissed down with rain all morning!)

The courses for triathlon have been released. Based on that I think itâs going to be an early morning race but I guess it will depend on the tides in the Seine too. Usual laps but I think the Paris nuance will be cobbles on the bike.

I recall for London I applied for nearly ÂŁ1500 in tickets and got given just two for the quarter finals of the Tae-Kwon-Do (sp). I decided sod it and sold them to a mate at cost so he could put a weekend together for him and his kid. I was very disappointed.
Iâll be watching Paris on TV. A big expensive TV with posh snacks, paid for by not going

the Seine isnât tidal in Paris - it;s only tidal as far as Rouen. The water level in Paris is controlled in summer by adjusting the flow into the Seine from the Lac du Der Chantecoq near St Dizier which is an atrificial reservoir that stores water from the Meuse in winter to be released in summer.

Except at spring tide when it does flood and all the bars end up like Venice in knee deep water. It is tidal - not completely controlled. I remember the 7am start time for the D1 race in Paris - none of the girls liked it.
