PEDs

I think MMA is less than it once was, a “ culture” change for sure.

Boxing is increasing and there doing SFA about it.

The Conor Benn case was literally swept under the carpet but he still can’t fight in the UK

Some transformation.

A you tuber who already lost to Jake Paul ?!

I seriously doubt there’s any testing for that
And it’s on PPV big numbers expected !?

I wonder if he’s doing hyrox, some of those look like that ?!!

A low ranking pro making more money in two UTubby fights than he could as a journeyman in his entire career. Mad people paying to watch that. Ill save my money for the real Fury fighting Usyk.

Was he fighting before?

Whilst muscular strength can help, it takes skill (and courage) to mix it up…

Journeyman pro would be the polite way to say it, hes a lifelong trained pro fighter but more interested in reality TV lately.

It’s not like the Furys have a history of doping

His dad said he did “ other things” when he was young, and tried to put him off when he wanted to start boxing.

It’s hard not to like Tommy fumbles as he uses the words “ novice pro” and “ still learning “ every second sentence in interviews.

He’s seen a “ gap in the market “ and he’s making millions exploiting it, can you blame him?
His brothers about to make millions and millions fighting a very tough man … who has a current boxing record of 0-0-0.

I think it was fast Eddie or fish eyes Frank that said “ he wouldn’t win an English title “ and there probably right, you do have to feel for fighters that are better than him but earning a very small % of his huge purses

As you say … who buys this crap?

Is he selling something? Training plan, supplements etc?

HYPE.

That’s what they’re all selling now.

If I CBA I’ll watch a replay on YT for free.

Bristol Flyers is the first time I’ve been invested in spectator sports; I’m loving it tbh. But it’s so immersive courtside, and the kids get to meet the players. My Son got a fist bump during the W/U last week off LESLEEEEE SMIIIITH!

My son got quite into basketball when Worcester had a league team and him and his mates used to go for a fiver. They’ve still got a team but have dropped out of the premier league (or whatever it’s called in BB) sighting the costs involved at that level.
Personally I’ve never seen the attraction and subscribe to the view that they just take it in turns to score and whoever scores last is the winner.
Ps. I was at the till in the petrol station near the arena a while back and heard this really deep voice behind me, I turned round to leave and was staring this guy straight in the chest, I’m 6’2" so god knows how tall he was.

BBL is excellent, we went to a London game last year. Its not hockey but its an entertaining sport.

Me nearly for my son! until i realised you have to not only pay a monthly fee to DAZN of £9.99 for a years contract, you still pay the PPV price. Cant even just buy PPV without yet another sub. Was gonna cost £40, for 2 months subs and £20PPV price if i wanted to do it out of contract as well. Mental unless you watch NFL and Boxing. Wonder if they PPV other “big” fights on top of sub.

Eddie Hearn is Dazn

He’s not on a global scale, but to the British knucklehead fight fan he is!

His iconic … his words… statement was
“ game changed”

No more PPV once “ the whole world bought his phone subscription to live fights for “ 2:99” per month ( and it won’t increase )”
3! Years later and even the Romford snake admits “ if you want the biggest fights, you can’t avoid PPV “
My park run time today was not needed for hyrox glory in Jan, but beat fast… ish eddies pb by some margin… the guys a snake!

I’ve mailed him… do you think I’ll get a reply ???

I have still not watched one second of you tuber boxing, something I’m quite proud of, you can’t play at this game

I just cant believe you have to subscribe to the channel just to be able to then PPV , for little more than a few blokes pissing about. I thought Sky were robbing us with £25 for a night of World Champions and up and coming pros

My fellow boxing nuts couldn’t believe I didn’t have Dazn when it was pennies

Most have unsubscribed now.

Tommy fumbled on PPV … dear me

Going from the Mark Lewis topic its probs better over here.

Again my knowledge in this area is very poor. But as far as my limited reading I’ve done goes. Any kind of TRT is banned via WADA and UKAD. Unless I’m mistaken so I can’t see how that statement is true? I can only presume it slips by via the, no testing in this sport so its legal. Eg if he competed in a triathlon, banned. Hyrox, Ultra marathon (maybe not all are UKA sanctioned?) Parkun fine? But when does TRT become sport performance? Seems like a massive grey area.

Would boosted test levels significantly improve pure running performance? Again he mutes that it doesn’t but surely even from a improved recovery perspective its going to be hugely beneficial.

I was looking at some of his other videos, it’s interesting that he labels his “cheat days” as those where he eats more food and doesn’t train enough! Maybe he should have a few cheat days and stop talking PEDs and see how it impacts his running performance.

It’s good that he’s transparent about his drug use. However in some videos, he talks about how “lucky” he’s been to avoid injury and how important recovery is, but he doesn’t talk about his drug use in that.

Maybe Hyrox is not bothered about drug use and if the majority are doing it, you can see why people join in. However, he’s also entering local running races and bagging podium spots which doesn’t seem right. He also competes in Zwift races and I think that have an Anti Doping Policy, I wonder if that violates it?
