PEDs

Interesting article, shame it was quite short.

Hyrox allowing participants on TRT but they won’t be competing for podium positions.

This is what I suggested a year or so ago.
IF someone really needs trt that badly … let them compete BUT there results shouldn’t win prizes / podiums or anything else.

I actually admire his openness but there are “ “several “ more openly juicing

And age groupers on TRT who keep it quiet

They should listen to the GLC. they’ll soon quit the juice then :joy::roll_eyes:

Oh don’t get me started
I would love to screen shot two PM”s I have
One to my PT and one directly to me

“ it’s fine pal , there’s no testing “
But one at least has someone’s name on it, the other Wouldn’t be hard to work out.
But I really do feel sorry for people who would cheat to get 2-3. Placings up the age group rankings that no one cares about anyway.
“ some” of the elite 15 were tested at nice, ( world champs) the threatened age group testing never happened unless John S knows different?
It’s a good sport but it’s going downhill rapidly

Don’t know why they bother. IOC/WADA/CHINADA . Are they all one and the same?

Oh there will be some surprises in the next few weeks.

I’m not saying all todays guys / girls are juiced but they are impossibly faster than even 20-30 years ago in some sports

It’s all about the special springy track and the springy shoes

I know nothing about 100 m sprinting
I didn’t watch it
It bores the life out of me.

The springy thing could be true?!
How fast would Carl Lewis go on a springy track in springy shoes ?

I very much doubt anyone really knows the answer to that.

I know you are joking, but super shoes were banned on the track, spikes are as close to old school flats as you can get.
Track surfaces do change, not sure how “springy” this one is, but only springy enough that Keeley H would have got Bronze at 2016 with the 3 podium XY “females” (apparently)

In 9.92s :man_shrugging::grin:.

The new spikes are the biggest thing dropping all times in all events for all competitors at the moment. How else could Keely Hodgkinson be talking about an attempt on the 40 year old 800m world record?

A website that used to track every NCAA sub-4 minute mile has given up, it’s just too common now. In the hurdles it is making a huge difference as the stride pattern is easier to hold as they get tired.

There are different stack height rules for the track v. the road, but the shoe companies have made it work and the standards have just shifted.

is this what they banned after Tokyo, I know there was a big fuss about access to them

still not giving the same advantage to women as being a man gives though

Last guy was 9.91 so faster than that.

Strange I love anything from 1500 up.

Colin Jackson reckoned that some of the hurdlers were struggling with the new track because it was affecting their stride pattern :man_shrugging:

Carl Lewis was juiced… although HGH wasn’t technically banned…
