PEDs

But did he have springy shoes ?!

Yeah can’t remember the difference but isn’t it a complete scale of increase now, 10-100X more per year since the shoes came in.

There was a snippet of him in the Linford Christie documentary where they asked him what he thought about Linford testing positive and he just said “They’ve caught up with him at last”

New study shows that 'super spikes' can increase track running speeds by 2%.

Interesting, seems the rules didnt go as far as they thought, 2% is way more than I expected.

Ketones boost EPO in the body apparently, its the new wonder supplement in the pro peloton.

Hopefully not by too much or their passports will look dodgy

Admire his honesty, there WILL be others

I wonder what would happen if he wanted to do a tri ?

Hyrox are letting people race on trt but no podiums or worlds spots.

Thoughts tri talkers ?

Hyrox is now WADA … I think

Same as triathlon, running, cycling and more importantly boxing in amateur sport, hyrox aren’t catching any unpaid cheats anytime ever.

This is pretty crap but better than what’s happening at the min … SFA to be honest
Some big hitters on here ( even the sandbaggers )
Be interested to hear who has ever been tested ( non voluntary ) on tri talk ?

No mention of Hyrox on the WADA sports list. Saying they follow WADA procedures isn’t the same thing as being a signatory, and might be deliberately misleading

I’m not 100% sure what this actually means …?!?

Adopting WADA rules means they can test anyone at any time I think ?

The elite 15, best in the world are starting to be tested
To my knowledge no age groupers has yet been tested a paticular point to note that some of the very best age groupers are on paper faster than the pros ( happens in tri too as we know)
Several of these very fast athletes have recently declined “ pro cards” which does make you wonder …?!?

It’s a tricky one isn’t it.
On one hand if they’re not doing any harm to anyone else (i.e.combat sports) then as long as they’re declaring PEDs and not eligible for prizes then fair enough.
On the other hand, if you are competitive at the pointy and of an event (I’m not, never have or will be) then getting beaten by half a dozen people in a race does take the shine off winning if you’re the first “clean” athlete home and also may impact your race in terms of knowing who you are or aren’t racing against.

The numbers would be very small
In all sports I’m guessing
It’s pretty crap but I’d rather race against declared “ cheats “ than people who were just cheating full stop

A UKAD basic test is 440 quid plus vat, no one’s catching crooked age groupers in any sort of numbers in any sort any time soon

Saying “we follow WADA rules” sounds good but unless they are a signatory who’s going to check. Maybe they follow some rules but not others? Becoming a signatory would be a guarantee for customers that the house is in order.

Hmmm. Didn’t learn from Gatlin, or Salazar’s “medical tests” on physios rubbing in testosterone.

Good to know the physio doesn’t wash his hands too

Dear me
These governing bodies are either thick AF or corrupt AF.
I’m not sure which is worse to be honest ?!

This is the current record holder
