NCAA’s are SCY so that’s why.

I love the 1650 :joy:

SCY are really exciting to watch but as they have the 15m rule, and many breaststrokers can easily hit 15+ it’s all about underwaters.

Hello triathlete folk! Someone sent me a link to this chat so I thought I’d say hi! With hindsight I’m probably a few years late to this party!

Anyway, you all seem lovely

and someone suggested a video of mine, mentioning a “forum”, was referring to here - it wasn’t it was a running forum - they were really mean  you lot are adorable in comparison.

Anyway, hi :waving_hand:

 Welcome Mark. I enjoy your videos. Good luck with those ditches.

I didn’t really think you were referring to this forum. Tritalk was once a giant, but nowadays has about 50 OAPs reading it and is basically more about talking DIY, holidays and the weather.

Well on my second YouTube channel I now do DIY on steroids… so they’ll love that :joy:

I think there is some common similarities

Are you still pimping out your ( in your words) ‘hot wife’ for clicks?

The “pimping” thing is a fun one. A lot of guys use the term and seem to miss the possibility that some women can make their own decisions. I don’t know if that is saying something about them or the women they have traditionally associated with??

Either way, “hotness” is clearly subjective - but it’s also demonstrably the case that some people appeal to a greater number of other people than is normal. It’s the same as not everybody thinking (insert your favourite comedian) is funny but if they are filling out stadiums, they clearly appeal to enough to accept that a large number of people do like them.

In our case, clicks are largely irrelevant, but we do earn 95% of our income from her. Hope that answers your question :+1:

So it’s her income then?

It’s generated by her, but goes into the jointly owned company…no different to when my income 95% funded that company 10 years ago. We called it “ours” then and do so now. Just find it a healthy approach to shared matrimonial finances, for us. :+1:

Are you playing a HMT tax inspector today? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My wife and I are a single income family and my pay cheque, mine, is certainly ‘ours’. Else I’d have more bikes and a Bimmer on the drive.

I wonder if I can monetise my skanky, peeling, damaged, fungal triafleet feet on OF. There must be a niche few thousand degenerates who’d subscribe to me picking my nails and squirting blisters.

Very very bizzarely one of my friends who I’ve known since secondary school was having a drink with a friend in the town where I live and grew up, and another group I was with, bumped into them at the same pub. They eventually came over for a chat as they were leaving, said friend looked vaguely familiar even more so when she started speaking but for the life of me I couldn’t place it, until some Hyrox chat ensued, husband Mark… etc then it clicked  Its a small world!

Interesting. My wife has the ability to earn as much as I do (althouh she doesn’t because we invest her time in our daughter’s education). I don’t support an imbalance of control (not sure why anybody would, unless they crave control).
What I don’t do however, is invite randoms on the new to look at my wife in exchange for income.

That’s cool. My children are grown with their own kids so I no longer need to invest in their upbringing. And every job has people that would do it and those who wouldn’t. Be boring if everyone did the same.

That’ll be LetsRun then, or if it isn’t, then there’s your follow up show.

Like your humour - but you won’t get any support from us on PEDs for a host of reasons you can probably get from this thread if you click summarise.

You were back in training this spring weren’t you, although I can’t recall what for? General fitness/health?

Back in training for a combo of personal health/desire and YouTube - relaunching the chanel is a possibility as it was sort of left to die off but has carried on getting views on old content that has seen in plod up in growth to 400k - so will now take it to 500k, actively, and see how I feel then.

Luckily “support from the internet” is a long way from a requirment I have for anything :joy:

I started out with praising your articulate YT content and affable nature…then probably slagged you off about T  My biggest concern was that like everything YT these days, the algorithm might drive you into doing things that in hindsight you might regret. Barry’s Economics does a great video on this.

Anyway, welcome!

It’s an interesting point - what I actually found was that chasing views caused me to create the style of content I didn’t enjoy making (eat 10k cal in day type bullshit) but my use of T (which started when I had under 5k subs - and I made videos about it from the start) was never guided by that. In fact, nothing I’ve ever done (sups, drugs, events) has been driven by views - it’s driven by what I want to do. As an example, I did Hyrox when no one cared about it - I then got bored of it as it exploded. It would have been easy to just keep doing it - I was getting podiums, I got permission from Hyrox to race on T (and be excluded from results ) and I was the by far the most watched YouTuber pushing out Hyrox stuff…but I walked away because I don’t care enough about the views to alter what I’d do anyway. * And racing on T at Hyrox (legit) and being outside the offical rankings would have been views gold if thats all I wanted. Social media doesnt care about much, but it loves controversy…Hyrox on drugs would have got big views (still would if I cared - there is still NO ONE else in the world that raced faster than me on drugs at Hyrox. I have the niche to myself :joy: ). Also worth pointing out - I’ve done no fitness and hardly any YouTube (on that chanell) in 2 years…my TRT hasnt changed one drop.
