This is my, I am going to run the mofo in even if it was me pacing a friend to a (relative to PB) slow time. Compared to you lot I look positively obese.
The last time I did Lanza in ‘13 - don’t think I knew what was happening at this point. This year should be a bit better - also 10kg lighter at 72kg

I put myself firmly in the “solid” category but it’s only relative to some of the other walking skeletons.
Grimace from the sprint finish to duck under 80mins for the first time:
For a bit of variety, a grimace on a bike. This was about 25k into the final 35k climb up to val thorens. I think I was putting on a brave face!

And @Jgav - That photo of mine was a decade old, I’ve put on 1kg per year since then.

Swiss Tri gave offered me a place in Lausanne last year (I guess they were short of athletes). I thought that it would be great to do the ITU championship final in Lausanne, but didn’t do any BTF qualifiers, so had to race under Swiss colours
