Some greasy descents in Nice :grimacing:

Ving looked omnipotent yesterday :smiling_imp:

Roglic is a leprechaun of his former self :unamused:

Bernal looks spicy :hot_pepper:

Evenpoel is the close, but no cigar also ran :slightly_smiling_face:‍↔

Pidcock doesn’t look like GC material yet. Punchy one dayer / break specialist. Nothing more. Nowhere near MVDP or WVA type rider :woman_shrugging:t4:

Vingegaard Hansen showed descending skills & balls of steel yesterday.

Roglic is a bit meh, perhaps at his age he can only target one big stage race & everything else is build up.

Remco was a wee bit inept & let down by his domestiques.

Ineos are looking a bit 2nd division still.

Ving looking very very good already. Visma LAB look like they’ll win whatever they want this season. *

Roglic looks nothing like he did when he was at Visma *
Remco Remco Remco. He’s a talent, no doubt. Is he a TDF winner in waiting? Perhaps not for a few years.

Egan definitely showing signs of getting back to his best. Could be next season before he’s fully ready.

Pidders. I don’t see it yet, unless he’s going to be a late developer at GC. Late 20’s perhaps.

  • in the last 12 months 2 riders Visma caught doping. Not major riders, but still. They’re looking more and more dominant. Too good to be true?

Think Pidders could do it, but he needs to dedicate a season or 2, like G did, and give up on the one days, cx and mtb. Maybe after Paris he will.

Listening to the latest GTCC podcast.

When asked about Quintana’s chances at The Giro…

Geraint “He shouldn’t even be racing.”

Luke “Little fucking rat.”

:joy:

Why should he not?
A bit of Tramadol and he’s consigned to the doldrums?

If I was to speculate it may be that the peloton have suspicions of other transgressions.

Where that transgression is that he’s actually 54?

And said he was 20 years younger to win the Best Young Rider award? When he was 38?

:joy::joy:

Didn’y he win the Giro by attacking over the Stelvio in the fog when all the other riders were trying to get the stage neutralized for safety… Not against the rules but probably didn’t win him friends to stick up for him later.

Thomas is talking bollocks though isn’t he? It was tramadol.

These guys never met Geert Leinders, have no clue what Freeman was up to with all those drugs, blah, blah, blah.

Those would be interesting guests on the podcast :face_with_monocle:

Big crash at Dwars Door Vlaanderen takes out van Aert, Stuyven, Girmay and Pedersen among others. All fell heavily & look doubtful for Ronde van Vlaanderen :anguished:

FFS - that would blow open RVV and potentially P-R too
:flushed:

A real sickener for WvA - he’d scheduled his whole spring programme around RVV and P-R only to be taken out in his final tune up race.

Gritty ride from young Josh Tarling today for 6th, potentially one to watch for Roubaix

Great racing yesterday, particularly in the woman’s race as there wasn’t a lot of doubt about the men’s winner.

Incredible scenes at the Koppenberg with only the first 4 or 5 men cycling it.

What’s with the sausages :belgium::smile::belgium::smile:?

I was wondering the same. Possibly due to the amount the fans consume?
