Pro Cycling Live - will contain spoilers

If the current top riders were matching the climbing achievements of Pantani/Lance et al, we might attempt to explain that away with technology…but to decimate those times of people we know were off their heads.

The question may be who & when will be the next whistleblower.

And @whisk - particularly what looks too good to be true?

That phallic banana for nearly three weeks certainly didn’t look good.

The logos on the wheels were an abomination, reminiscent of late 00s, early 10s gear.

The see through bib shorts looked horrendous.

It just all looked utterly horrific to me :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::joy:

“G” said in the Giro they had given up racing Pog, which is why the gap got so huge…

Is he going for the Olympics & Vuelta too?

My point was really that he got stronger, rather than looking at all fatigued, despite coming to the end of his second grand tour in 2.5 months.

Okay, so take out Pog and Ving.
Look at where Remco finished.

Nobody is slinging mud at him.

Lance/Pantani riding up with 19/21mm tubs at 200psi odd. And I don’t recall seeing fresh tarmac for any YouTube clips.

Now? Much lower Crr with some tubeless at 80psi.
Fresh tarmac for the most part. You’ve just found 0.1W/kg :woman_shrugging:t2:

Pog has them all beat mentally, too.
Before the race event starts.
Nobody even tries.

That arguably puts a clean Pog where Lance was…

… now add in aero nonsense. Beetroot juice. Tailwind. Power of the crowd.

And you have the rest :woman_shrugging:t2:

Don’t underestimate the crowd and Holland & Barrett :joy:

Looks like Pog has been told winning the Olympics would be taking the pi55 :joy:

I’m surprised he’s not entered for road, MTB and freestyle BMX

He needs to prepare for the Vuelta.

On Sunday he rode a TT 2km/h faster than Evenepoel. Even if he’s very tired and did almost nothing for two weeks he’d still be a shoo-in for a TT medal of some sort

On a very hilly course (I did the uphill bit on Zwift yesterday, it’s tough!)

Remember Remco beat Pog in the earlier, flatter, TT.

Add Josh Tarling into the mix and Pog would be an outside shot for any colour of medal in the Olympics TT

Pogacar was faster then Evenepoel on every sector on Sunday, not just the uphill.

Tarling is in with a shout of a medal and I hope he does well, but Evenepoel is usually faster than him.

I would’ve won the whole tour if my stupid bike wasn’t so damn heavy. Couldn’t even carry a cycling computer.

That article is not a good Look.

Rumoured to be riding an incredibly light Wilier at Groupama FDJ next season  .
