Doping control woke them both up at 2AM.
Pog couldn’t get back to sleep, so drank coffee and listened to Eminem.
Not sure what Jonas did.
But they did talk about this for a good few minutes during the post-race analysis.

I understand I may be in the minority, but here goes….
2am does seem a very odd time for a drug test. But I assume that others will face the same throughout the race. If not, why not?
However, it must be part of the protocol and therefore always a possibility.
Also, being frank, there are a lot of times I’m woken at that time and expected to work 12 hours the next day with a small tolerance to errors (and those errors are arguably more costly than anything in the Tour). Perhaps a bit of realism is needed?

I thought they had a time like 6am for first tests? My dog had got me up twice in the night to go in the garden the last 2 nights and it really messes me up for the day.

I think for the regular whereabouts testing the first time window is 6am, but I guess they have different rules within stage races?
2am does seem much worse than 5am.
One for the peds thread maybe, but the whereabouts “you must declare an hour on the day when you will be available” does not mean you cannot be doorstepped outside that hour, it just means you can’t be pinged for a whereabouts.
Recent case of someone who refused to take a test because the visit was outside the hour they had specified, got done as if they had failed the test, not as if it was a missed test.
