G’s podcast with Luke Rowe has been really good throughout the Giro - Watts Occurring check it out

I worry a bit that for the next two days Ineos might not be string enough to control the race - they have lost three riders whereas UAE and Jumbo-Visma still have full teams I think. OTOH they have two other riders still in the top 10 so maybe attack would be the best form of defence

I think Ineos are going to have to sacrifice at least one of their other top 10 riders at some point, unless Jumbo and UAE do all the work for them again :roll_eyes:

Oh sure I don’t think they care about getting 9th and 10th! But having those guys up there in GC is useful if they can get in early breaks and force JV and UAE to do the chasing

They cut last Friday’s stage short by taking out one of the big mountains because the weather was so bad and the riders deemed it to be too dangerous. They’d spent the previous couple of weeks riding in rubbish weather with lots of crashes on descents and they were threatening to strike.

I think some of the older riders suggested that they were being soft and that they’d have ridden it in their day :roll_eyes::man_shrugging:
