The Hoff chipping away at Skipper’s lead, at current pace should catch him at the 20 mile mark

The tide has turned, Skipdog now running faster than The Hoff. Gap back out to 2:20 at 18 miles.

And I doubt Hanson will bring back a minute\mile, looks like it chucked it down for a while.

Hanson has blown now too

Skipper seems to be moving well and on 2:42 pace? Think the other two are just going to protect their podiums.

Joe took it 8:03 (2:45 run), Hoff then Hanson :+1:

Sure I read something the other day quoting him as “he was a shell of his former self” :person_shrugging:. TT level sandbagging :joy:

ETA: yeah, not really heard of any of those top finishers

I think he was 6:10/mile throughout

Interesting to have no visor/shades. Was better to watch actually.

Seven weeks to WC I’ll be interested to hear his debrief

He should sign up
He would fit right in with his prediction / win

hey ho - no WTCS event in the UK next year. It was due to move back to Leeds from Sunderland in 2024.

I suspect the fact that the Brownlee’s are unlikely to be there might lower interest in Leeds, and shutting down a big city.

A bit of nimbyism as well without a doubt.

When was the last year a WTCS (or equivalent) hasn’t been held in the UK

2020…

not sure. before Leeds it was London going back to 2010 I think - before then, not sure

2008 I think.

2006/7 were Salford,
2008 no UK event,
2009-2015 London
2016-2022 Leeds (excl 2020 for Covid)

The thing with the Leeds race was that it didn’t go into town anymore. Getting out to Roundhay Park to watch is a right PITA with the road closures for the race. I didn’t bother the last couple of times because of it. Don’t know why they stopped it going into town as it was always rammed when they did. It is almost as if they planned to reduce the spectator numbers.
