So if you just read the placings, you’d think it half went as expected with the top 6 made up from what most picked as the 7 favorites (with Kat M missing).
But with Sodaro in 6th 18 min back I’d hoped for a much much closer race across all the front runners. For all the hype of how stacked the field was it didn’t actually make for a good race 
I’ll also admit I didn’t expect an LCB win this year against that depth of field. I expected others to at least match her bike split, and leave her holding on for 2nd to 5th, but good on her what a bike leg.

This is the second time LCB has “won” Kona.
The first was as an F18-24 age grouper 
Did she lead the swim out that year?

Streaming feed was the best I can ever remember it. Stayed connected at great resolution the whole time with no dropouts or buffering at all.
Hope the title sponsors pay up - hadn’t heard of Vinfast before, but looks more like a concept than a product. Stock price is a mess, built in Vietnam, reviews are hardly enticing: “The VF8’s generally off-brand look and feel make it seem like an SUV bought off Wish.com”.

Gutted for Kat but that doesn’t sound good, so early in the race for the body to shut down. Be interesting to see if she has a virus or something in the coming days?
