I wondered what happen in NZ.

I assumed a run injury, that is sad news.

Quite surprised when he was announced as one of the ‘elites’; have to say i haven’t clocked what his plans are going forwards.

He’s been testing at the velodrome on TT bike recently according to Instagram, maybe heading for T100 or 70.3?

Rumours of a T100 the end of last season (after not making the Olympics) but too short to prepare.
Wildcard T100, almost a given I would have thought.

Maybe one for the TT thread but Phil Graves is still doing decent TT’s, 21:03 on a slow course/day yesterday, think he was top 4.

No likes if she’s doing a 5K with imperial :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

The power is in SI units at least, not horsepower or BTU/h or similar.

Doesn’t it appear in the follower’s set units? So unless that is Kat’s own screenshot, your beef should be with whoever is following her in miles.

Running with 33 others though, so not draft legal

It was some 5k race up in Notts I think I saw. She’s now got the qualifying time to be in the A race next year she’s said.

Its just under 3:14 per km.

I use miles for the bike and kms for running :see_no_evil:

What is swimming?

Yards and pace per 100m

It is very simple, bike computers used to be in miles before you could chose imperial or metric, its just historical Ive never bothered changing. Just like a pint of milk not 568ml

So you use miles for the bike, yards for swimming, but not furlongs for the run?

Tbf I use yards from the swim cos it is easier to get the ave pace to start with a 1:xx
2:05 per 100m sounds shit, and it is.

I only switched to kms for the run because someone from Europe keeps moaning at me and I then released you get more frequent splits… which is nice.

Fairy nuff

I offered Mrs FT a pint of squash the other day and she said “OK but make it a small one”. And she’s an actual teacher :man_shrugging:

Going and riding a hundred miles is a decent ride.

Riding 160.93 km it just gets silly from all those extra splits. Plus the “Only 152km to go” wtf.

Tbf I have bike splits set to 5 miles so my comment about 160.93 splits is :cow::poop:

10k splits for the bike, 15 minutes per split and you’re going quite fast, 20 is a reasonable pace

Simple :man_shrugging:t2:

And most drinks are metric these days.
