I’m the opposite. No training today. Maybe an easy turbo tmw eve if I’m lucky

IIRC one of the coaches said they foind when he is leaner that his absolute and relative VO2 max drops.

I’m glad Skybet opened that market up for a few hours where they horribly misvalued Blummenfelt

Someone said that on the YouTube comments, too.
Was it you?

You could easily qualify.
70.3 is a case of putting your hand up.
Team GeeeBeeee is a case of turning up to all of the sprint/Oly qualifying races until most of the places have gone and you get a slot, or dropping them an email saying “I’ve a sub 4.5hr half, can I race the LD Champs at Almere, please?”

I went out and put the tri bars on my training bike in a fit of motivation, it will have probably vanished by Monday luckily :joy:

70.3 WC is in Finland in a couple years I think? Get your arse into the pool and you could easily get to that. (obvs might be a harder sell to the wife though!)

Well, yes I guess so. But I mean being genuinely in the mix. Obvs not winning an AG or anything, but a top 10 or whatever. :person_shrugging:t3: Guess it doesn’t really matter does it.

Trouble is, I’m too lazy. :joy:

Top 10 AG or overall?
At a qualifying race or the actual WC?

For Staffs 70.3, “qualifiers” in your AG go to approximately;

40min swim
2:40 bike (rough, rolling)
1:40 run (hot, for uk, has a hill)

Ish.

I mean,You can run a 1:48 and still get a WC slot :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Oh AG at a qualifier. I’m no way good enough for a top 10 overall.

Anyway. This is digressing.

I look at Blu and can’t figure out how he runs so fast.

Yeah it doesn’t ‘look’ quick at all either. Someone like Haug looks like she’s shifting. Everything about her run form.

But yeah, Blum doesn’t look bad (like Sanders or Currie), but he doesn’t appear to be moving fast.

I exploded and ran a 1:47!

Right, that’s enough of that. I’m past caring now.

Currie looks boardline going to start walking. He looks done.

Meanwhile Blu running 5.20mm pace

The answer lies in EPO according to plenty of YouTube experts…

Sub 7? Ali might need sub 6 to beat Blu……

I saw some comments in the FB chat about Blu and T. I just don’t think so, would be too easily detectable.

I think you’re underplaying it quite a lot. It very much depends on where the 70.3WC are. It’s only been easy the last few years because it was meant to be NZ, and then Covid.

Nice was very hard at Euro races (which is why I had to go all the way to Bahrain! :joy: But even then I did 33/2:18/1:30 and a scraped in with the last place on roll down, at a smaller event with 60 slots)
