OK so not sure where to put this, its not IMJ or slowtwitch but its an interwebs group and another classic from the local FB group. Advertising post from local overpriced but sole trader village “coffee shop”. Advertising a selection of homemade panettone (conveniently well wrapped like they have been bought from Lidl). The price came up £18.50, now price of a loaf of air aside, there was a comment,
“Really can’t see why people make such a fuss over this place. I’ve never had a decent fresh loaf from here and they charge near a fiver for it! And the owner is always miserable.
The pastries are hit and miss if they are fresh.”
Let rip the “Chislehurst Mafia” as he called them, Its like Armageddon over stale pastry. I love the daily abuse dished out on the local groups. If you don’t follow the crowd its like a school playground. The classic was “You should stick to gregs as you have no taste” (sic) so the retort " I bet you don’t even work love, just ponce off your rich husband to pay for your stale expensive pastries" lolz for the record, it is overpriced and cakes do sit there for more than a day!

That’s a fascinating read & vid. I think he looked healthier before, but he seems happy.
The big buffed up look I associate with greater risk of joint injury and poorer metabolic health & don’t imagine going from 10 stone to 15 stone is great for glucose regulation. He says if he tries to run now it’s like carrying a weighted pack around.
On the other hand can see the functional benefit of strong muscle getting older.

They’re looked to be some gold star material in the archives from old sticky threads and pro interviews I’d have trawled through even if not becoming active member.
Very hard to see it coming back. There is too much legal wrangling caught up in the legal proceedings of the deceased owner and his previous legal battles over ownership.
The bills can’t be paid by anyone other than the owner and that ownership can’t be transferred at the moment. It’s a real shame because the ‘Tri Gold’ sticky had some great input by some pros.
