Anyone else finding their Strava feed really slow and timing out recently?

This is on my phone, website is a bit buggy with some things as well.

Yup!!!
Have to load notifications twice on phone to see them.

My work Android phone has the same issue as my personal iPhone, so it’s device agnostic.

Server went down with an SSL error code last night when I was idly scrolling (Strava: the Instagram for athletes :see_no_evil:)

I get the odd timeout message as well. Looks like it could be a webservice type issue, although if there is an SSL error I wonder if they’ve let a certificate go?

Anyway, at least it’s not just me.

I have nothing on my feed at all. It’s like I’ve just signed up and it’s asking me to find friends.
I’ve had kudos on a couple of activities I’ve done this morning so others must be seeing mine.

So, KOMs that are set with tailwind are a bit dodgy, but grudgingly legit.

What about OW swim CRs that are set with high tides?

Asking for a friend :joy:

Totally legit imho.

Just ask the OWSS on their views of the legitimacy of Dart 10k or Hurly Burly times!!

Well done.

Sorry, meant segments…not an outright record! But no, can’t see an issue with a segment unless you use a canoe…

Still waiting for you to add me
You couldn’t have done 3.8km for a mega IM PB???

I have to say from what I’m seeing in my kudos lists, the new approach by strava seems to have largely worked. 17/24 people of the people I follow giving me a thumbs up for a ride on Saturday were premium subscribers. A number of them I know for sure were not before the change, and we’re now well past any period of free trials. So fair play to strava, they appear to have judged their user base well.

I follow 94 people.

Just counted as I was intrigued - 62 are premium accounts

Yeah, but that was a decent ride!
Was it cold down there?
Bloody freezing up here, plus blowing a gale, all weekend.
Massive shock to the system.

After me saying “I am not paying” (do you see a trend here?) I find I am missing the leaderboards and ability to compare myself with clubmates up local climbs etc :frowning:

I wouldn’t have said it was cold down here. Just bloody windy.

Long sleeve jerseys and knee warmers were in order though

There have been a few times recently when I’ve wanted to compare one of my segments to one of my previous efforts, then I’ve realised ‘it’s not that important’ and gone to play with my kids instead

It was 5 degrees yesterday morning. Long thermals legs, long sleeve base layer and ling sleeve top. full finger gloves and a buff.

It was fairly chilly first thing. First time wearing a cycling cap under my helmet all year. I also put belgian booties over my shoes. But I just wore a summer mesh base layer with a perfetto light jersey over the top, and that was it. Summer bibs, with no arm or leg warmers. The first hour or two was about 8 degrees, but when it got up to 10+, it was absolutely fine.

What’s happened to segment league tables? I’ve got a premium account, but it no longer gives me my ranking on the day and overall???

I’ve got ‘all time’ and ‘this year’ results lists up on my segments.

Ah, got it. You’ve got to click onto the KOM to get to the league tables now :+1:

Anyone seen this about some free insurance cover with Strava premium?
