Seems to have missed pulling my swim from Garmin

Hopefully it’ll sort itself out over night

Apparently you can get a 50% discount if you are staff\student at a Uni and probably HE college, looks like you can get a code to use later if it isn’t due for renewal, I’m waiting for something to be sent now. Looks like my renewal will cost £24 in August but for some reason it says until 6th May 2023 which is confusing.

And it looks like I can renew it next year as well.

@gingerbongo if you still have your account open and access to email you can call it your leaving present :joy:

GET ME A CODE YOU LIL SCALLYWAG :joy:

I want leaderboards back, but refuse to pay so much, as the rest of the offering is garbage.

Yeah i binned strava off a while back. Gonna bin TP as well after Cots. That’s blimmin expensive.

I’ll have a look later. My account is still open for a week as I’m technically on annual leave next week. I’ll see if it gives me a code. Though I imagine it’s going to want to link the account to the email address

It got me to log onto our Uni site, then when I went back to the subscription area in Strava it said my next one would be £24 rather than a code immediately

Just noticed on Strava there’s a free subscription\app for premium for something called recover. Strengthen\prehab exercises based on various areas of your body if that is of any use to anyone?

And it’s now available on android :+1:. Think I might give it a go. The exercise demos look good.

Yeah, I signed up yesterday. The big challenge will be actually doing the exercises…

The planner seems good as well. Pick the equipment (tennis ball, chair, elastic etc), area of focus, select as many exercises as you want.

I grabbed this when you said, I’m finding it really good.

I like I’m identifying my issues and the exercises target those.
I’m particularly liking being prompted post run to do something, and with it being immediately after run I can focus on what feels a problem right now.

No complicated images or videos. Short n sweet. Timers inc. no messy lists.
For me it’s very very useful and delivery is perfect.

I should have another look for my neverending glute issue.

The guy that did the overlay charts on zwift - started with some strava enhancements.
Activated it earlier and few nice extra bits of data - also the handy tool to steal other strava routes directly to tcx file.

Just letting it sync 5000+ activities for the updated perf charts…

Looks interesting so far!

This is how you do an “it’s better than nothing run” @gingerbongo not 4.09/km pace :joy:

Strava needs a sandbag filter - I’d never see his runs again.

He’ll be on soon saying how slow he felt

I felt sick that’s for sure, as I’d only just finished my pasta! :joy: Luckily the old ultra runner’s stomach keeps everything down.

My ‘better than nothing’ today though has been ‘actual nothing’. :man_facepalming:t3:

“I fail to see how hiding your price from consumers is a good business practice”

Seems to work well for a number of luxury brands

Our employer is encouraging people to be careful with fitness apps; if that was a trend i.e. personal privacy/security, then I guess they may lose some business?
