Nah, I do something I could upload every day (since Jan 1st 2018 without fail) but only sometimes would it be something I am interested enough in seeing on strava to do it there and then, and only bothered to do the upload, when I was charging the watch, and that was often over a week, with more than 15 events.
What watch are you using, a 910? (To not be auto-uploading on Bluetooth). Don’t know why I ever upgrading, that was a solid watch.
Fenix 5, so it goes to garmin - but I don’t want auto-sync from garmin to strava as I record other stuff (and also want to delay when away from home etc.) so then I either have to manually upload, or auto-sync private and enable - which it’s just too much trouble.
I saw that, just what everyone needs, another messaging platform!
Edit: wonder how long before the government wants access to it
I’m predicting 99% of messages will be “you are so fit” from desperate blokes!
Good to see you have a lot of self confidence!
Over 600 hours with plenty of December left is a very good year @Doonhamer
Cycling a shit load of hours on the Iron 102 train helped inflate my hours/mileage.
2024 won’t look as groovy but my climb might be better.
The injury and Nice meant I did more cycling so the distance is probably a bit longer.
I was in the 3% club at 350 hours, but didn’t record most swims which is probably another 100 hours this year.
On the other hand, most of the cycling just Z1 commuting so less intense than previous years of Zwift etc, & not sure can actually call it training… more, transportation. But still, kind of happy that Mr bike commuting allowed two working adults to survive a year in Doha with just one rented car.
Shows how impressive the Alan Couzens KQ type figures of 700 , 800 and 900+ hours are though. Easy to say, less easy to do!
I’d need to get a lot more organised to double my time, and even then I think I’d struggle, even without the recovery time.
And I haven’t got kids and only work 7K from home! But my time management is utter garbage.
When I was training hard about 8-10 years ago I reckon I probably got towards 600 but didn’t record swims.
cancelled my subscription. I don’t even look on there anymore… Maybe because I’m not doing much running or cycling at the minute.
Yeah I’m at 610 hours this year and thought I trained a lot
There’s a new kid on the block/ compound. He joined our ex pat tri group chat a week or so ago and declared his intention to hoover up all the local KOMs
I assume it was partly tongue in cheek, but yesterday a couple of notifications from Strava pinged through saying he was indeed the new Alpha. (Not that I have any claim to that, or that the bar here is particularly high)
Anyway this morning I logged a “casual jog with a couple of random efforts” and stole 2 back. For “casual” read "planned like a military campaign " obv. Game on. I suspect he’ll be back out there again tomorrow though with the bit between his teeth
