Take my money!

Lol I feel the same :joy: although I’m the odd one out in the gym without videoing the entire session

I did it in jeans and a hoodie - it doesn’t look stupid, and allows others to check your form to a reasonable degree on YouTube.

Bare feet though, because I’m a pervert. Obvs.

Yeah still not gonna happen! :joy:

Bad enough that every time I get asked for a case study or reference at work that they now want it in video format! :grimacing: And I’m at least getting paid for that!

I wish I could give executive updates in meme format.

Is that the sit down leg press Jeff? The one where you’re quite horizontal or the one where you’re practically lying on the floor? Cos our seated one doesn’t even go that high!

There are a few, a static one where you sit down and is horizontal, it only goes to about 190kg, but because the cable or something is half seized it’s probably a bit more!

Then there’s a few others where you put the weight plates on for whatever you want, most of them you’re at about 45 degrees, the seat is floor level and the push plate is at standing chest height if that makes sense? There’s about 3 fairly similar.

Not sure I’m explaining it well :man_shrugging:t2:

Looks like half your message is missing!

I was n the seated cable one today, and I struggled to push 100kgs for a 3 x 5 rep thing. Found it pretty hard to get it going, but was ok once i did the initial push.

200kgs seems utterly insane. You must be seriously frickin strong Jeff!

This is the one I was using:

There’s about 2 paragraphs on it? I can see what I typed but still having issues with the app on my phone.

I suspect I’m not going back into the squat position as much as some as my knees aren’t that flexible!

It’s pretty much one of these. I was getting up to 230kg a couple of years ago with some dedication! But a lot of the people using them at ours have bigger arms than legs to impress the women :joy:

Yeah, there’s one of them as well, although the chair moves back on ours and not the foot plate.

I struggle to get the 45 degree knee extension, seems to put a lot of stress on my knee ligaments and tendons.

I pushed 240kg on one of those last December - first time of using one

I’m gonna have to go on the lie down one now and see what’s what. And then get injured trying to prove to myself that I’m not a weakling! :joy: :joy:

I’m officially a gymbro now so I ought to introduce myself to this thread.

My tri club membership is Ā£35p/m & for this I can choose any three of the sessions they offer which gives me the pick of 4 swim sessions & 2 gym sessions. It’s outstanding value.

I’ve been pretty consistently attending 2 swims a week, but just lacked the oomph to take advantage of a third.

Anyway, this morning I attended a gym sesh at 6am & it’s all a bit of a blur. There were sledges, wall balls, bags of sand, dumbbells & variety of machines.

First time in a gym for well over 30yrs & when I got to work I could hardly lift my coffee to my lips ffs.

Jeeez what is this! We’ll need to rename it StrTalk soon

Yeah cable leg press, horizontal, regular leg press and then there is hack squat (upside down leg press basically) you do get some leg presses where you push up vertically too.

On how much people press it varies massively, usually depends on how deep people actually take it :man_tipping_hand: . Much like someone half squatting big weights, if you asked them to do arse to grass, they’d fail immediately

This made me chuckle. I’m as common as muck so it’s always been Ass to the Grass but if you spake proper, like what I don’t it’s Arse to the Grarse I guess.
