Ironman visor
Two watches.
In case one runs out of battery
Should definitely last for 17 hrs
@Poet Running a couple of miles in them tomorrow.
@Adam You say that like I don’t run in a visor all year round already
But you need the Mdot branded one for Sunday
I too also run year round in a visor!
CAPS KIDS.
ALL CAPS.

What is Saturday’s meal? Carbing up or nay?
Not really.
If I load, I’ll just over eat and get bloated
Will just add a bit of pasta to my usual big fat salad
Good luck @funkster , go get it.
Not sure which is most impressive, a sub 3 hour marathon, or tolerating 3 hours of drum and bass racket
I guess the faster you go the less you have to endure so can see the logic
Depends what he’s got - a bit of Umax (Outer Reaches)
Bit of Shapeshifter, Flowidus.
Could be a banger
umm maybe
what i heard on discord sounded like wub wub wub
but like a wobbly washing machine on spin cycle in your neigbour’s house
Hour 1
Hour 2
Hour 2 to 2:30
Lol if it works for you
Guess 3 and a half hours of Meat Loaf followed by The Killers wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea either
It’s more to do with tempo
DnB is generally around 176-180bpm which is a perfect tempo for running
There are some rock songs with a tempo like that - Foo Fighters like to live around that tempo
House music for swimming 128-130bpm
Cycling take your pick
You’ve left us hanging for what you’ll be listening so as you cross the line, unless you’ve got a stretch 2:30 target now!
Last 30 minutes will be a mix that I’ll chuck together tonight with songs I know motivate me
Finishing with this
I think that the most important thing of all is pace judgement.
Your suggestion of 6.45 seems spot on. This gets you to half way in 1:28:30 which is just about perfect. Now here’s the thing; in that first half don’t go any faster. It sounds mad but a minute faster starts to put you into deficit from which there is no coming back. I think that you have the same watch as me, a Garmin 920XT. One of my screens has the current mile pace and the overall pace. You need to watch this screen like a hawk because will all the training you have done and the taper and wearing the magic shoes in those first few miles you are going to feel fantastic and before you know it you will have gone through the first couple of miles in 6:3x. This should be avoided at all costs.
The second I guess is your mindset. Now is the time to remind yourself of all of the quality training that you have done week after week. All of which points to a sub 3. The last miles of all marathons are hard; that is the beauty of the distance. However if you have done the training and preparation, which you have, then you will be ready for them.
Stay relaxed but be determined. Good luck
