Just sat on it in the basement. My shoulder feels 75% up to a point, then 0%. TT positon is well.within range of movement that i have… over next 2 weeks i suspect that range of movement will get better. However swim wont be fun.
Single arm drills for 2 weeks!
Up at ‘em Matt!
Crikey, amazing positivity. It may stiffen and get worse before it starts loosening so expect some ups and downs.
Felt a little shiver go down my spine, remembering a TT I did, was on a fast bend on a descent and saw my front tubular hit a flint.
A very ‘exciting’ few seconds trying to brake, stay upright and make the bend as the tub deflated, I could feel it rolling under the front wheel.
Jeez - that’s awful bad luck
Glad to hear it’s not as bad as first thought but still clear going to cause problems
Will some intensive physio sessions help?
Matt it might be useful to look into collagen supplements to help with the ligament repair. Just a thought.![]()
Thant’s good news Matt. You might want to think about the vibration over time out on the road in the TT position. It may induce some pain/fatigue that you won’t pick up on in your basement.
Good to see your swim won’t suffer ![]()
(But seriously, rest up this week, your fitness won’t suffer for it)
Heal Strong Matt, what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger … hopefully
Sorry to hear that MS, what a shame, great to see you are still thinking of going, albeit with adjusted goals, much kudos ![]()
I’m very sorry to hear this Matt- heal well!
I have posed on injury thread but dr says i am OK to race Roth. I will be minus an AC ligament and in some discomfort
Sub 9 is clearly off the table. But lets see what i can do. Need swelling to go down
Chrissie did it in Kona and won so no pressure!
With a torn AC?
Here’s an article about it.
Wow, 11 years ago!
That’s just what i thought, That was a TT chat room night, best night of the year on there. Couldnt believe she came out about 20 minutes down on the swim and was still some way down after the bike iirc . No wonder she retired after that, how can you top that performance
I am channelling my inner Chrissie Wellington
