Pretty much, yeah!
I can give you a plan to go the other way in less than 4 weeks, ie from 6 minutes to well over 7
- put an obstacle in the middle of the road
- ride into it at 43kmh
- land on your right shoulder
As a result you will spend the next month mainly swimming round in circles
Your welcome
if you can somehow figure out a way to execute that in reverse, your halfway there
Nice
Email with 25% off at debour wetsuit. Need a new one so thought I’d take a look.
Flip me £1250 full price
I remember being put out paying that for about 4 wetsuits to try on last time.
Yikes, the top Roka was only about £650?
£1075
What does the 33 & 66s mean?
When h Arena/Speedo tech suits are over 300 notes, essentially just very tight jammers, wetsuits seem cheap
Joe swims in a 33.3m pool
subtract for 25/50 in using SCM or even SCY pools
essentially its about breaking down your target distance into smaller chunks (broken swims) and swimming at your goal pace with adequate rest, and then dropping rest. if you have a problem at the back end , ie a 200 swimmer we would do broken 300 or 400’s at goal 200 pace to build that ability to keep pace at the back end of a race.
Something else @joex could consider is doing a 200 in 2:50 as an interim goal to that sub 6 400.
But our full swim suits like the LZR were also £250-300.
And for all the talk about how performance enhancing they were, swimming times didn’t really see any lull when they reverted from suits to jammers.
So no I wouldn’t expect a top wetsuit to cost 4x more what a top pool suit costs. I understand it’s more material, but surprised there’s the market for enough people to pay that.
Managed to find a zone 3 vanquish for £450. Still seems a lot, but I love my current vanquish and can’t see it being 3x better. And that’s Z3s top suit
I bought the Z3 Vanquish last year and was a similar price, ~£400 as i got a deal on it. I do agree 1k is ridiculous amount of money…but so is £300 for some “jammers”
They’ve gone up! I only got mine a couple of years ago I think!
Might have had a discount code though and they might have released another
Either way, it ain’t gonna make me much faster!
drat!
Emails from 2019 have been blasted away
So no training plans - soz.
Christ almighty. Ok.
I actually don’t use that pool anymore, 50m, 30yd(!) or 25m pools.
Use the 50 pool for aerobic work, the 25 at the monent for the target race pace training . A good progression would be moving from 50/100reps SCM to 50/100reps LCM holding same times
You could use the fatigue decay hammerer and I have talked about in this thread, or just a guess If you’ve done the 100/400 CSS test, but my guess you’re going to need capability of ~1:22 & 2:52 to hit 5:59.
My fatigue rate start of this season made my 400m pace 7s slower than my 100m
I’ve done the maths
Chris can swim 100m in 2 seconds and 400m in 9 seconds
Does anyone know how widespread the habit of not producing printed programmes / start sheets is for swimming galas ?
My lad is swimming at the Spenborough Bonfire Bash in Leeds this weekend and they are, apparently, not doing any of that, it’s just on a Smartphone app.
I can’t even find the start lists online so I can print out my own before we go. I read it will only be available on the day on your phone.
Seriously ?
I hate the modern world !
Yep normal, mainly on meetmobile but some just stick it online. The problem is people withdrawing and heats arent produced until warmup starts. All sheets are then produced. Results also put up on meet mobile within minutes of the event finishing.
Which gala/event, you should be able to see who has entered, ill do a screen shot for you.
