Catching up on TV coverage…
Very touching story that guy had to tell
Just seen Cracknell DNF’d at mile 18 with a heel injury
How much?
Love a good Sam Smiths pub when in London
Not bad. £5.45 iirc
I was stunned when I heard “5” so didn’t hear the rest.
Won’t call it FOMO but I do love London marathon, probably my favourite race, the 3 in America were good as was Paris but this race is pretty much packed with spectators from about the 2nd K
Want to go back one day after the last race was a hobble and walk for most of it after Tower bridge. Bizarrely someone at the gym I go to got a photo of me taking my T-shirt off at tower bridge, I was getting a bit too hot!
I saw. He had to have something done a while back, there was no fat or something left in his heel pad and it had to be injected. Was on for a sub 2:55 as well which is decent enough for a 50 year old 6’4" 90kg chap
Surprised Cracknell stopped, he normally pushes himself to the cusp of death, and keeps pushing….
Yeah, usually requires a missile to take him out.
@Sowler - This guy took a leaf out of my parkrun book
I heard about this guy, he bet his friend he could lead out the London marathon, so he trained like swearword to get a Championship spot
So a work colleague finished yesterdays race - didn’t know they were doing it as I would have tracked them.
In work today and they’re wearing their medal and all bloody day.
I have never in my life seen someone do that
I made a comment to another colleague but felt like a right cu*t saying it!
I’ve seen people do that after walking a 5km Race for Life
The day after?! Christ
Sad to see a 36 yr old died on course yesterday, 23 and a bit miles in apparently
Did the words ‘gruelling’, ‘brutal’ and ‘amazing’ come up at all?
Two out of three
Wow, that’s young.
But you are faster than him, right?
I’m going to Brutal (last few KM) and Amazing (Atmosphere)
