I have BVM & Cav, I went from being gutted to delighted in about 3 seconds
It does seem that emotion is making potential contenders into bona fide winners this year.
Youâd have to be made of stone not to be moved by the wins of MvdP, JA & Cav

Hate to jinx it. But there are what 4 more sprint stages that Cav could take. He comfortably took the intermediate sprint and stage win.
Will he match or beat the record?
TO SAY THAT IS TABOO
Record is 34 iirc.
34âŚ. Merckx
Git
Will Peta be the first page 3 bird to be a âLadyâ when Cav gets knighted?
Yeah so he has to win them all to beat it.
Chances of thatâŚ
But there is always next yearâŚ
I think he relies on a good lead-out more than many of the other top sprinters. DQS are strong and that helps. Guys like Sagan, Demare, Bouhanni, Colbrelli, have all shown they can âsurfâ the pack alone; and as the race goes on, I think most of these guys will get harder to beat as attrition kicks in.
Still remember the good old days of the HTC Highroad lead-out train. It was a thing of beauty with them dropping off one by one until it was just Cav with 100-150m to go and a monster sprint.
Cav can freelance a sprint as well as anyone. He didnât really have any kind of lead-out yesterday as his team had been burnt out pulling back the break
Yeah, after HTC-Columbia, he became the master of wheel surfing.
And getting led out by Wiggins in yellow in Paris.
Cavâs now favourite to take the green to Paris, just ahead of Sagan, would be a hell of a comeback
IMO Saeco were the blueprint for lead out trains, they really wrote the book.
They made great watches too
âSomeday, all coffee machines will be made this wayâ
Showing my age there!
Bjerg now the second favourite behind WvA for today since it began drizzling a bit
Fantastic save by Bissegger, not too sure what the moto was up to in front of him though
Oh, Simon Yates is racing Didnât even realize!
