the others don’t seem to be complaining, congrats at the finish etc.
The commissaires won’t pick a pointless media fight, so probably safe.

watching the overhead he veered onto one of the other riders ‘dropping off’ and the person who he was contesting the sprint against was unimpeded
The clock has been turned back. Wonderful fun to watch
32!!!
Cav’s got the momentum now. I reckon he’ll get another win or two before the end
Sam Bennett must have his tail firmly between his legs!
Yeha bet Lefevere (sp) is feeling super smug right now
Both shampoo guys were impeded I reckon, but we’re having the presentation, so he’s good.
Looking again the second shampoo guy who finished second was also switching lines so not surprising it was fine.
Yes yes yes!!! Cav to beat the record, in the Green jersey, on the Champs de Elysees……………
Can you imagine that. I was shouting at the TV today. Not often I get over excited by sport. By the record, Green, on the Champs. I’d lose my shit.
Cav is an emotional guy even when he’s not emotional.
Hope he makes it through the mountains.
Missed it all as I had a crisis meeting but good to that Cav has another!
My wife just told me to calm down
That was amazing
Yes! What a result!
But wow that was a boring stage even on the ‘highlights’.
Would love to see him take green. Hope I’m not being too negative but was wondering pre-tour if he’d complete 3 weeks, nevermind still have power for last day. Lovely interview yesterday though sounds in a great place, no pressure and just enjoying life again.
Some people are (rightly - this is cycling after all) cynical about Cav’s comeback. But I can attest first hand, and perhaps others on here can too, how much life stress can completely screw with your physical performance. It can put it totally in the bin. Particularly in hindsight. (the key for me was realising that although I was using exercise to ‘destress’ and switch off from other stuff it didn’t mean that it wasn’t impacting. )
Apols for the shift of tangent.
Back to racing. I have Alaphilippe for today
How about Ineos realise they are not really GC contenders and join forces with DQS to get Cav to Paris, lead him to final stage victory and the Green Jersey (and get JA the yellow?).
Here’s a nice article describing every one of Cavs stage wins:
Well, not #32 but all the rest
CyclingTips had a nice article also the other day. I can’t read CN because of the adblocker.
Wise words.
