Tdf2020 SPOILER ALERT!

Polka I’d guess, the more prestigious and you might as well show it off while in the mountains

I’m hoping to break into the top-10 in the League; positions 9 & 10 are in sight :crossed_fingers:

Sagan beat by SammyB and Trentin at the early intermediate :frowning:
Hopefully we see something special from Sagan tomorrow…

…but for today…

…we have the irrepresible DE GENDT in the large breakway, along with a few Grenadiers, namely Carapaz, could he get a stage today?
I doubt it, not with Sunweb having four riders in the break (Roche, Andersen, Arndt and HIRSCHI)

C’mon Hirschi!!!

Remember, Carapaz and Hirschi could also take the Polka Dot jersey today, so that’d be a good little battle

Yesterday I score over 800 points but was still 11th that day. I have Roglic and Pogacar . Interested to know who the people at the top have. I have no more swaps left though

Mr Organ did ace yesterday, as he had the entire Top 3 and one as his captain.
I have the following, I swapped in Cosnefroy at an early stage for another low cost rider, as he was in Polka dots and kept earning me 50 odd points per day, plus the extra ones from being first over the tops.
Roche is just making up the numbers, as he was cheap, but, of all the cheap riders, he has the best chance of getting the 20 points for the combatative award - he’s often in a break, hunting that ever elusive stage win.

I subbed out the tiny sprinter for Yates, as Yates was getting some nice yellow points per day and Ewan was making me wince.
Sagan has disappointed me, I didn’t go with Bennet, as I thought Ewan had the edge, obvs not - GRR!
I never picked Wout on his winning days, but he’s on good form, could be good for tomorrow?
Sagan will want those green points and maybe the stage win, if not for the points, just for the bragging rights…however…I can see him getting frustrated.
Wout will be allowed off the leash tomorrow, possibly taking Kuss and Gesink as his support, whilst allowing Dumoulin and G. Bennett, et al., to shepherd Roglic.

The game is about stage wins, picking the Top 3 on a daily basis.
But you also need to take stock of the entire race from Stage 1 and invest wisely.
Plan your transfers - which the first week made super hard this year - and make sure you sub out at the correct time.
Like, at the end of four flat/rolling stages, sub out a sprinter and bring in a stage winner in Week 1.
But in Week 3? If you still have credits left, I’d just go with the folks who are in the hunt for jerseys.

And there we have it confirmed, Hirschi looks like he’s going for the polka dots today…problem for him is that Carapaz has Kwiatowski with him now, so can just shut Hirschi down.
Roche is in the group just back, also with Bahrain-Merida and Cofidis with a rider up in front, so a nice little chase is on…

If you look at the league button then click the eye on another player, you see their team for that day but not the future stage

I’ve got one swap left and that is to get Bennett in for the final stage. On form, I reckon he’s the one for Paris and I’ll be well pissed if Ewan does it!

Why then???
He’s racking up green jersey points every day at the moment?

Or are you banking on the 400 points for him on that day by subbing out someone who’s wearing a jersey at the minute?
Like Pogacar, for example?

If you’re thinking of doing that, remember final standing points are FIVE TIMES the amount for the last stage.

So the winner ((Roglic)) will net 250pts
Second (Pogacar) will net 225pts (plus 150pts for Polka (depending on today…) and 100pts for the white jersey), so 475pts, which is just a Bit more than what Bennett would get for second place!

If you swap in Bennett on the last day, then Ewan wins, you get 300pts for second, plus 150pts for the green jersey. And maybe some intermediate points.
But if Bennett wins, then it’s 550pts+ for the day :scream:
I’d be careful, as Ewan has been using his team to roll in each day with the bus just behind him.
He’s deffo keeping his powder drier than Bennett.

So…it depends who you are subbing out…make sure you know the rules for the last day and the full points available, as there’s better value in selecting Pogacar than Roglic at the minute :+1:t3:

Threw Hirschi & Kwiato in as a last ditch effort to get into the top 10 today.
2 changes all tour. Should have focused more

FORK!!!

Hirschi has taken a tumble as Carapaz attacked on the descent - GRR!

Ouch. That arm looks seriously sore (/raw)

his left lever is also totally FUBARd, as is the left bar…wonder if he will push again?

Nearly went down again off that speed bump!

All because he was getting peeved off by Kwiatowski asking him to do some work…

…erm NOPE! You have two people here, sod off and do one, I’m sitting here all day…

…so Carapaz attacked

Landa - he’s netting some great points right now but Bennett on the final day will be a great swap hopefully.

I thought Sagan might have put his whole team on the front today to put Bennett and the other sprinters outside the time limit
