Nice work @fruit_thief :clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3:

No alarm for me yesterday and slept (stayed in bed) until it was too late for Parkrun. Just a longer (unrecorded) dog walk yesterday for me.

Light Zwift today, with another long dog walk, then actual normal exercise from then on.

Think I’m calling it a day now. 21 days done, still feel pretty good - just a little stiff around the front of both hips. Physically feel I could go on for at least 1 more day, but logistically it would be a real ballsache. Plus maybe something about quitting before the hips have turned to guacamole.

Managed to get some good data from this little exercise. Overall, 246.4km covered at an average pace of 5m 22s per km. (So, still less than half of the 496 madness)

If exclude the 8km walked on Friday, it becomes 238.4 km at an average pace of 5m 11s per km. 213,168 steps. 165,891 heartbeats. Average 172 steps per minute. Average stride was 112cm. Was mostly all in zone 1 and 2, with average HR of 134bpm although threw a few cheeky faster kms in earlier on & a few slightly faster kms in the closing stages of some of the longer tuns.

Thanks @Poet for suggesting this insanity, somehow I have mostly enjoyed it. Got an increased respect for @explorerJC 's Panadol paradox, the 24 days of Christmas. Those last few days must have been gnarly.

Bluetooth headphones have been a revelation. Today’s soundtrack - started off with Marillion. Good stuff, but not really running music. Changed at halfway to best of Erasure & picked up the pace a little.

I didn’t suggest anything :joy:

Nice work :white_check_mark::clap:t3:
It’s certainly a challenge, just not getting injured :face_with_peeking_eye:

17.2km at 5.01/km - the weather was tough, very windy, and it was getting hotter throughout the run - in fact at 8.6km I stopped off at home and dropped off a pair of gloves, a buff and two layers, but still found the windless bits too hot, but at the same time when the wind was there it was a bit chilly.

The 4.6km walk to Aldis took me over the required.

I’ll also almost certainly not bother tomorrow though, whilst thankfully the rain has held off until 4pm, tomorrow it’s forecast again and still with the winds, no fun for what would have to be 2 1/2 hours out in it.

As I said before, this isn’t much more than I’ve done before - certainly until the last few days - although this is the largest mon-sun week I’ve ever done (106km vs 105km previously) but it almost certainly got me running more this week, than I otherwise would’ve. Still feel completely easy running that though, despite this being a ramp from the 70km/week of december, whereas previously the bigger weeks were all off 85km/week run-ups.

Running for the month 264.2km covered at 4:50/km But for the later days, I also needed the 46km walking in 9 hours.

Zero injuries or anything, although I am a bit depressed today, which is sometimes a sign that I’ve overdone the ramp up.

Good call…

You had my support until you mentioned marillion…

for one crazy moment today I was considering taking the running shoes to work and running 22km home.

Was plenty glad I’d decided not to by 8pm though. 2 hungry hours in the dark would not have appealed at all. And that’s best case.

you still going @JibberJim?

I’m at 16.5km (11.2km run, 5.3km walk), so could easily go out for a quick run or walk - but I won’t. be bothering.
