Do you see the same people come back or do they go to different prisons?
There doing long sentences mostly.
A few have been out and then re called for not complying with Probation, breaking hostel rules and breaking the terms of there license, which is beyond stupid as they then spend up to 5 years back in jail.
I think some of them feel safe with us, it’s all they know and it gives them a sense of normality.
Norman Stanley Fletcher regarded Prison as an occupational hazard apparently, so do most of them.
Many are lost in this World, with little hope of finding there way in life.
Anyone taking supplements and have they made a difference?
Thinking extra vitamins and minerals and for joints etc.
I take a daily multi vit with iron, a magnesium tablet, and some extra Vit C…. has it helped?….can’t prove it either way, but certainly not doing any harm!

I take turmeric and cod liver oil. I definitely feel stiff and creaky if I miss a few days!

Multi-vits are a waste of time - you’ll piss most of them out. A balanced diet will give you all of your vitamin needs unless you have some weird dietary issues.
I’ve been taking cod liver tabs daily for so long now I don’t know if they make any difference or not but it’s become so much of habit I won’t stop - or I might fall apart!
One multi and one magnesium tab. I’m not convinced but Mrs FP is, so therefore…

I actually take vit C. I did do cod liver oil for a bit but then read something about it being a waste of time (can’t remember why - ha so it could be for memory)
Multi-vit tab, Vit D tab, and 2 x turmeric tabs daily. Could be placebo!
Multivitamin/multimineral pill daily. Plus I make a daily smoothie with a smattering of good stuff (think turmeric etc) and I try and eat a reasonable amount of fruit and veg. That all helps the conscience when I mainline pizza and cake!!

Might give the turmeric a go.
Have had them in the past and yes my pee was orange so stopped them.

I find if I take glucosamine and chondroitin my joints crack less and I no longer feel the need to crack my knuckles. No idea why that is the case and I know cracking joints isn’t a problem.
I recently took feroglobin and did feel better with it.
Every day I take a large suck-it-up pill washed down with a refreshing can of hard.
And multivit, probiotic and fish oil.
Anyone using Collagen Peptides ( Protein )?
Seen it recommended for “senior” athletes.
Not sure how well founded the science is, but a lot of people are using it.
For me generally a Berocca, magnesium and Vit D, especially in the winter which seems to last about 11 months oop north
